Choose an Up House display case around the presentation you want: the house resting near its figures or raised above them on a specified support. For LEGO 43217, balloon height, the half-house’s rear rooms and the position of Carl, Russell and Dug are separate viewing decisions. A floating-house photograph does not supply a usable cavity or support drawing.
A raised house creates a different scene above the floor
LEGO’s official 43217 description presents a colorful half-house with four rooms, balloons and a porch, accompanied by Carl Fredricksen, Russell and Dug. The two minifigures and dog figure should remain identifiable in the display record. This guide does not supply numerical model dimensions from an inspected specification section that was blank.
Start with the actual built model and intended viewpoint. If the house will be raised, include its exact support and the balloons in the complete supported height. Keep the ground-level figures in the scene rather than measuring the lifted house alone.
Decide where each figure belongs and which faces or details should remain visible. A support or case border can conceal a small figure while leaving the house unobstructed. A stud-count reference does not provide a finished figure map or establish every accessory position.
If you prefer a grounded display, obtain confirmation for that configuration. A case promoted with an elevated house need not provide the same arrangement, support contacts or remaining floor space when its floating feature is omitted.
The rear rooms can disappear behind a scenic print
| View | What matters | Question to resolve |
|---|---|---|
| Front and balloons | House silhouette, complete balloon cluster and porch. | Does the selected support lift the whole model clear of the figures? |
| Rear rooms | The four-room half-house layout. | Is the rear transparent, printed or blocked by its support? |
| Figures below | Carl, Russell and Dug in their intended positions. | Are their faces visible below the raised house and case border? |
A Paradise Falls scene may suit a front-facing display, but it changes what can be seen through the rear. Select the important views before selecting the print. A clear rear is worth asking about if the room interiors are part of your reason for displaying this model.
DIA’s Up House frame guide outlines scene, frame and buying comparisons. The inspected short main supplied headings and table labels, without numerical support or cavity details. It therefore does not resolve how a particular raised house is retained or which rear rooms remain visible.
A frame’s thickness is not an established receiving depth
These five descriptions were read on 18 October 2026. DisplayCasePro has not fitted the model, tested a floating connection or installed the products.
| Product | Published information | Keep unresolved |
|---|---|---|
| Brickcessories 43217 | Assembled 230 × 224 × 420 mm; integrated floating stand. | Tuple axes and inside/outside boundary are unstated. |
| Elevenmark 43217 frame | Frame L × W × H33 × 2 × 45 cm; stated 4 kg. | No labelled cavity or closing cover; weight is not a wall-load rating. |
| Kingdom Brick Supply floating 43217 | Inside L20 × W20 × H39.2 cm; outside L21.5 × W21.5 × H39.8 cm. | Confirm the complete supported house and figure arrangement. |
| DIA frame guide | No numerical receiving or support specification in the inspected outline. | Request the selected product’s own drawing. |
| Wicked Brick Limited Edition 43217 | Floating shelf, scenic print and numbered plaque; no numerical case size in the read main. | Do not borrow dimensions from a separate regular edition. |
Elevenmark’s wall-or-surface frame lists 33 × 2 × 45 cm in L × W × H order, paired with 12.99 × 0.79 × 17.72 inches. Do not rotate those axes until the house appears to fit, or treat the two-centimetre figure as clear room for a three-dimensional model. Ask whether the frame is open or covered and obtain the actual supported projection.
Brickcessories describes an integrated floating stand and offers clear or black rear treatments. Its assembled size alone does not specify the usable space above that support. The model’s receiving point and the case’s inside boundary are needed together.
The case with the largest published number is not automatically the most spacious. A raised support consumes height, a print can hide the rear, and a source may be describing the exterior. Compare the same complete scene against explicitly defined receiving space.
A floating shelf is a supplied component, not extra balloons
Kingdom Brick Supply’s floating version describes a floating shelf and a Paradise Falls rear print with additional balloon imagery. Printed balloons are part of the background treatment, rather than extra LEGO balloon elements included with the model. Its 24 × 24-stud floor reference does not define the lifted house’s connection.
Wicked Brick’s Limited Edition describes studs embedded in a shelf that raises the house above the base. Request that edition’s intended connection, support and complete receiving drawing. A numbered plaque and edition branding do not establish current availability or a tested loading limit.
Keep the model-to-support connection distinct from the enclosure’s joints and any wall attachment. A stand supplied for one case is not automatically interchangeable with another maker’s base or the shallow frame. Do not improvise a floating contact from a promotional photograph.

Opening the display and relocating it are different tasks
Establish which panels or surround come away and whether the house remains properly supported throughout the intended access sequence. A front-facing display may still need a rear-view or inspection route. Reserve somewhere appropriate to set the removed enclosure parts.
Kingdom Brick Supply expressly says its case is not designed for relocation with the LEGO model inside. Keep that instruction with this exact product. A convenient floating arrangement or removable front does not make the populated case a carrying container.
Use the Up House scene, support and rear-view worksheet. The usable depth guide explains receiving depth, while the collection wall planner helps place a frame after its complete supported dimensions and attachment requirements are known.
Common questions
Will a printed background preserve the view of all four rooms?
Check the actual rear treatment, support and intended viewing direction. A scenic front photograph does not answer the rear-room question.
Is every 43217 frame an enclosing display case?
Confirm its open or covered status and actual receiving space. A frame title and outside size alone do not establish a closing front.
