Editorial approach
Understand how DisplayCasePro handles sources, product claims, collection measurements, illustrations, reader submissions and commercial relationships.
Know what you are reading
DisplayCasePro separates planning guidance, source-based analysis and firsthand reporting. A checklist can help you prepare a purchase brief without claiming a product has been tested. A supplier specification remains the supplier’s information. A hands-on conclusion needs an actual product, a documented method and the observations behind the conclusion.
Product details belong to an exact item
Dimensions, materials, compatibility, included parts and protection claims belong to a particular product or arrangement. We identify sources where those details are used. A similar name, image or set theme does not transfer a specification from one product to another. Measurements and estimates are labelled separately.
Prices, stock, delivery terms and availability can change. Where an article uses that information, its market and check date matter. Readers should confirm the supplier’s current information before making a purchase.
Sources and preparation
Manufacturer instructions are useful for the named product. Public collection-care guidance can explain risks, but it is not a substitute for advice about an unusual or fragile object. A link to a source does not by itself establish an unrelated product claim.
Research and drafting may be assisted by software, including AI. Editorial responsibility remains with the publisher. Automation does not turn an estimate into a measurement or a supplier statement into a test result.
Pictures and illustrations
Product photographs, contributor photographs and explanatory diagrams serve different purposes. Illustrations and planning studies are identified. They are not evidence that a product was installed, a collector’s room was visited or a compatibility check was performed.
Commercial relationships
Articles may contain affiliate links. If a purchase through such a link can earn a commission, the relationship is disclosed in the article. Sponsorship and supplied review samples are identified where relevant. A commercial arrangement does not justify unsupported product claims or an invented test result.
Reader submissions and comments
Submissions should use photographs the contributor took or has permission to share. Product identifiers, measurements and estimates should be clear, and private information should be removed. Submissions and comments are reviewed before public display.
Corrections and updates
If a source, product version or factual detail changes, the affected statement needs review. A substantive correction should explain what changed. A new date without new checking is not evidence that an article has been updated. Use the site’s available contact or comment route to identify a specific claim and provide supporting information.
