LEGO Tallneck Display Cases: 76989 Head, Landscape and Aloy

Choose a Tallneck 76989 case for the broad head, neck antennae, landscape, Aloy and Watcher. Compare source axes, base footprints and printed views.

LEGO Tallneck Display Cases: 76989 Head, Landscape and Aloy

Choose a LEGO Tallneck display case for the complete 76989 scene, from its broad head and neck antennae to the landscape, Aloy and Watcher below. Keep the actual case axes and full base footprint with that scene. A model-specific cutout and an exterior height alone do not describe all the space around the upper outline.

Keep the machine and its landscape together

LEGO’s official 76989 specification gives a model reference of over H34 × W23 × D17 cm. It identifies the disc-shaped head, neck antennae, tail-like structures and long legs, plus a landscape stand with birch tree, grass and a rusty stoplight.

Aloy has a bow and brick-built spear. The Watcher has a choice of blue, yellow or red eyes; those choices do not mean three separate Watchers. Retain the actual figure and weapon positions in the scene you want confirmed.

The widest upper part may project beyond the smaller landscape footprint. Record the front and side outline of the complete build, rather than measuring only the ground beneath its legs. Use the actual model instructions for its intended arrangement; this guide does not assign an unverified range of head or leg movement.

A locating cutout answers a different question from head clearance

Blacked Brick describes a model-locating cutout and studs for a figure in front. Wicked Brick describes embedded model and Aloy studs. Keep each maker’s locations with its own base; one description does not supply the other’s layout.

A ground locator may establish where the lower scene sits without describing every upper projection. Ask for the complete arrangement used by the maker before treating a set-specific base as a drawing of the entire receiving volume.

Preserve width and depth labels instead of silently rotating the comparison

These original product sources were read on 18 October 2026. They include a reseller that expressly identifies Flying Box as the maker and shipper. Five independent source domains therefore do not mean five independent physical case designs or fitting tests.

Blacked Brick’s W23 × D29 cm exterior and Wicked Brick’s W28 × D23 cm exterior use different width/depth sequences. Do not swap the labels to make the numbers appear equivalent. First identify the intended front view, then compare actual interiors and full outer footprints.

For Display Geek’s listing, the stated base extends beyond the box’s plan dimensions. Keep both lines in the shelf enquiry. The narrower box description does not establish that the whole assembly sits within the same furniture rectangle.

Keep the printed rear and small characters in the chosen viewing plan

A printed landscape can extend the scene behind the model, while a transparent rear leaves the room visible. Check the light-coloured head, dark legs, tree and small figures from the normal approach. The case’s front edge can hide Aloy even when the machine remains prominent.

The authorized image below comes from the CubeBuff Tallneck case gallery. Its current product describes a printed mountain-and-forest configuration, external W28 × D23 × H38.3 cm and no separate information plaque. Transparent rear views elsewhere in that gallery do not establish another selectable configuration.

Check the cover’s route past the entire upper outline

Wicked Brick and the cited CubeBuff product describe a clear surround lifting from base grooves. Reserve that route past the disc head and antennae, plus somewhere for the surround to rest. For another construction, obtain its own opening instructions.

Display Geek describes its display as stationary on a shelf. Keep that product-specific use statement with the selected order. General UV or protection wording on a listing is not an independently measured rating in this guide.

Use the Tallneck scene and base worksheet with the LEGO shelf-case guide. The lighting and reflections guide covers the finished viewing conditions.

Common questions

Does matching the landscape footprint establish head clearance?

Include the whole disc, antennae, legs and landscape in the receiving outline. A locating cutout alone does not describe the upper space.

Are Display Geek and Flying Box necessarily different case designs?

The cited reseller page expressly says its product is made and shipped by Flying Box. Retain that relationship when comparing the two descriptions.
