Choose a LEGO Notre-Dame display case for the complete 21061 cathedral: its long base, side trees, nameplate and central spire. Select the main viewing side first, then check the actual cavity and opening. Room to enclose the model at rest does not establish room to remove its roof or towers.
The spire, side trees and nameplate are separate checks
LEGO's Notre-Dame de Paris 21061 description identifies the curved rear, bell towers, rose windows and central spire. It describes a removable roof for viewing the interior columns and arches, and towers that lift off for another interior view.
The descriptive metric reference is over H33 × W22 × D41 cm. Keep that model reference separate from a case interior and from the route required by a removed section. The highest resting point and the space needed for an operation answer different questions.
The official description also permits trees along one side and a nameplate attached at the front or side of the base. Record the arrangement you actually intend to display. A case photograph showing one placement does not establish the outline of an alternative placement or a custom landscape.
Choose whether the front or long side explains the model
| Preferred view | Feature to retain | Case question |
|---|---|---|
| Front elevation | Bell towers, entrance and front-mounted nameplate. | Where do the case edge and any separate plaque cross the foreground? |
| Long side | Windows, buttresses, trees and a side-mounted nameplate. | Does the intended locating position leave this side facing the room? |
| Rear or three-quarter view | The curved rear and its relationship to the main body. | Would a printed rear replace a sightline you value? |
| Interior study | Roof or tower sections removed in an intended configuration. | How is the outer enclosure opened before the model is reached? |
A long-side view may suit one furniture position while the twin-tower front suits another. Draw the model and nameplate against the case's actual front before selecting a rear graphic. A printed Paris scene changes the background; it does not increase receiving depth.
Check the view from the room's normal seated or standing position. Corner fittings, a low base edge and reflections can occupy different parts of that view. Use the lighting and reflection guide to assess the surrounding conditions rather than infer visibility from a close product photograph.
Read dimensions before inferring roof clearance
The following supplier descriptions were read on 17 October 2026. The shopPOPdisplays specification was available through an indexed product description while direct access was unavailable; confirm its current version. These are attributed specifications, not our measurements or physical fit tests.
| Specific case | Published dimensions | What remains to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Wicked Brick 21061 | W46 × D27 × H35.3 cm. | Inside/outside is not labelled in this line. Matte black base, etched plaque and lift-off clear case are described. |
| Brickcessories 21061 | Assembled 460 × 270 × 360 mm. | The written sequence has no axis or inside/outside labels. Request the receiving drawing for the selected rear option. |
| Kingdom Brick Supply 21061 | Approximate internal L45.6 × W26.4 × H36 cm; external L47.1 × W27.9 × H36.9 cm. | Keep the separate 56 × 32-stud reference and actual tree/nameplate arrangement with the cavity. |
| shopPOPdisplays, P_21148 | External H14 × W18 × D10 in. | Obtain clear receiving dimensions and the opening routine. LEGO studs and stand are excluded. |
| Blacked Brick 21061 | External W48 × D29 × H34 cm. | A locating cut-out is described. Confirm its intended orientation and the cavity above the finished base. |
Blacked Brick's 34 cm exterior against a model described as over 33 cm high does not establish one centimetre of usable headroom. It mixes different boundaries and supplies no roof-removal path. The interior must be confirmed above the actual receiving floor.
Likewise, Kingdom Brick Supply's approximate 36 cm interior is not a three-centimetre working allowance above your assembly. Use the completed model's actual resting outline, and obtain a separate answer about opening and section access. A rounded model reference cannot settle the hand space or route.
Do not label Wicked Brick's dimensions external merely because another product from that brand uses the word. Brickcessories' sequence also needs its own labels; assigning axes from a photograph can hide a mismatch between the model's long direction and the case's front.
Confirm what the locating base fixes in place
Blacked Brick describes a shaped cut-out for this set. Ask how the model sits in that cut-out and whether it permits the front-or-side nameplate choice you want. The existence of a locator does not mean the cathedral can be turned freely after placement.
Kingdom Brick Supply's 56 × 32-stud figure describes another base reference. It does not measure the central spire, a tree projecting above the floor or the path of a lifted tower. Keep the whole scene beside the base drawing instead of treating stud area as the complete three-dimensional fit.
A separate etched plaque is described by Wicked Brick; it is not listed in the cited Blacked Brick main description. Confirm package contents and positions for the product you order. The model's own nameplate and a case maker's information plaque are different display elements.

Open the case before planning the model operation
Wicked Brick describes lifting the clear case from its base and returning it to grooves. Obtain the selected enclosure's actual routine before deciding how the roof or towers will be reached. A kit's assembly method is not automatically its intended method for daily access.
Keep a resting place for the outer cover and separate resting places for any model sections you remove according to the LEGO instructions. Include the central spire and side trees when checking the approach. Do not assume that extra closed height allows every section to be lifted while the surround stays in place.
Kingdom Brick Supply explicitly says its case is not designed to be relocated with the set inside. Resolve the final location and handling routine for that exact product. Its restriction is retained here without assigning it to suppliers whose descriptions do not state the same thing.
The Notre-Dame view and access worksheet records the long axis, plate position, trees, cavity and separate roof/tower questions. Use the LEGO shelf-case guide for the full enclosure's furniture footprint.
Common questions
Can the nameplate be displayed along the side?
LEGO describes front or side attachment. Confirm that your chosen case's locating arrangement and full cavity accommodate the intended placement.
Can I remove the towers inside every 21061 case?
No such working route is established by these closed dimensions. Obtain the intended opening and model-access routine.
Does a taller published height mean more usable room?
Compare matching interior definitions first. Exterior, unlabelled and approximate interior figures are different records.
