LEGO Mona Lisa Display Cases: 31213 Frame, Depth and Eye Changes

Compare Mona Lisa 31213 display cases around the detachable gold frame, raised artwork and eye changes. Keep inside and outside sizes and shared suppliers distinct.

LEGO Mona Lisa Display Cases: 31213 Frame, Depth and Eye Changes

Choose a LEGO Mona Lisa display case around the complete 31213 artwork, including its detachable gold-colored frame. Compare the clear cavity, the whole enclosure and access for changing the eyes. Two websites can also describe the same maker’s case, so a longer shopping list does not necessarily offer more distinct products.

Keep the gold frame in the receiving brief

LEGO’s official 31213 description identifies wall art with a detachable gold-colored frame and printed eye pieces that can be exchanged for blank pieces. Its model reference is over H43 × W30 × D4 cm. Those figures describe the LEGO artwork, not the usable interior of an aftermarket enclosure.

Decide whether the original frame stays attached. If you intend to display the artwork without it, ask the case maker about that exact configuration. Detaching a frame does not automatically provide another supported arrangement, and its spare parts still need a separate record.

Record the full assembly from the rear attachment to its furthest front detail. Include the gold border rather than measuring only the portrait area. A shallow enclosure can appear large enough from the front while leaving the rear support or raised detail unresolved.

The eye choice is also an access decision. A fixed presentation needs a clear view of the selected face; changing it occasionally requires the intended front-release route and a way to reach the artwork after opening. Neither use follows simply from a photograph of a closed case.

A six-centimetre exterior is not a five-centimetre cavity

The following descriptions were read on 18 October 2026. They retain the sources’ measurement definitions and missing fields. DisplayCasePro has not physically measured or fitted these products.

Three Mona Lisa case size descriptions
SourcePublished figuresDefinition to retain
iDisplayit 31213Inside L34 × W05 × H47 cm; outside L37 × W06 × H50 cm.Separate labelled rows. The source literally prints 05 and 06 for W.
ICUANUTY 31213Outer 34.4 × 47.2 × 6 cm, paired with 13.5 × 18.6 × 2.3 in.Explicitly exterior; tuple axes and clear receiving space are not labelled.
Flying Box 31213 titleL13.5 × W2.25 × H18.5.The main size line read supplies no unit or inside/outside label.

iDisplayit’s wall case provides a more directly usable comparison because it labels interior and exterior separately. Still confirm where the interior depth begins, how the model is supported and whether any fitting occupies that space. The manufacturer’s declared interior is useful specification evidence, not our fit test.

ICUANUTY’s product description explicitly calls its sequence an outer dimension and names wall and tabletop display. Its separate Product Size control supplied no additional readable figures when opened. Ask for the labelled usable cavity and the support intended for your selected mode instead of subtracting guessed panel thicknesses from the exterior.

Do not silently assign inches to Flying Box’s unlabelled size line. The numbers may look familiar beside another listing, but a unit and a receiving boundary should come from the maker. Its address also contains 42171 while its displayed title names 31213; keep the actual link and intended model together in the enquiry.

Count distinct products, not just distinct domains

Display Geek’s Mona Lisa listing says that the case is made and shipped by Flying Box. It displays the same three numeric sizes in H × W × D order. These are two retail pages with a shared stated maker, rather than two independent physical tests or necessarily two different case designs.

Compare the exact product, package and measurement answer before counting it as another option. A reseller’s reordered axes do not settle an unspecified unit or transform an outside size into a cavity. Keep any clarification with the page and product you would actually order.

The sampled Kingdom Brick Supply 31213 page supplies no numeric case dimensions in its short main description. Its model details and general acrylic language cannot fill that gap. Request its own current specification rather than borrowing dimensions from a different Kingdom product or the other suppliers.

The artwork and the complete case need separate support answers

iDisplayit describes four fittings joining its side panels, eight attaching them to the rear, one rear mounting hole and a disguised hook design for removing the front. Keep those details attached to this 31213 product. They do not specify a suitable fixing for every wall or demonstrate the model-to-case connection on their own.

Choose the eye presentation before arranging the wall

Decide whether you expect to exchange the eye pieces after installation. Ask which enclosure parts must be removed first, how the artwork is reached and where the front rests. Follow the actual model instructions for the change; a removable case front does not establish that the eyes can be reached with the artwork still supported in place.

Use the entire enclosure’s width, height and wall projection when planning neighboring displays. Leave the maker’s required release route available. The empty area between two picture borders can disappear when a front panel has to move sideways or lift before coming forward.

Keep material and protection claims in their proper category. A stated acrylic thickness, light-transmission percentage or UV claim is a supplier description here, without an independent optical, dust or preservation test.

Use the Mona Lisa frame, eye-change and case worksheet. The usable depth guide explains reference surfaces, while the collection wall planner helps place complete enclosures after their receiving and opening arrangements are confirmed.

Common questions

Does removing the gold frame guarantee a shallower fit?

Obtain the actual supported profile for that configuration. The complete artwork still needs an appropriate receiving arrangement and clear front space.

Are Display Geek and Flying Box two independent case tests?

No test is presented here. Display Geek explicitly identifies Flying Box as the maker and shipper, so retain that shared product provenance when comparing the pages.
