Sonny Angel Display Cases: 12 Positions, Headpieces and Tape

Plan a Sonny Angel case around standing figures, headpieces and actual tier space. Compare official size lines, included tape and access beyond the 12-figure count.

Sonny Angel Display Cases: 12 Positions, Headpieces and Tape

A Sonny Angel display case needs to accommodate the figures you actually own, including their headpieces and the space used by each standing position. The official accessory is described as holding up to 12 figures, but that count does not give a universal headpiece clearance or a complete interior drawing. Start with your intended selection, then check the case, rows and attachment instructions.

Identify the accessory by its current item number

The official US acrylic display case listing identifies W-SAS-65996. Its description specifies acrylic, capacity up to 12, attached 3M adhesive and a front logo and catchphrase. The figures shown are excluded.

The international Original Acrylic Display Case listing uses SAS65996 and likewise describes up to 12 figures, included double-sided tape and the same approximate product dimensions. These are two official descriptions of the accessory, not two independent compatibility tests.

Keep the exact item number and the package instructions with your plan. A year in a URL can help locate a listing, but it does not identify the internal construction on its own. Nor does a photograph of an older case establish the configuration supplied with a current order.

The sampled 2015 official announcement has an acrylic-case heading, while its returned main paragraph discusses store renewal and membership. It supplies no numeric receiving dimensions. Do not use that historical result to fill gaps in the current specification.

Keep product dimensions separate from usable row space

What the actual size descriptions establish
ListingPublished figuresStill needed for a close fit
Official US and international item-numbered pagesApproximate product W200 × H180 × D125 mm.Clear internal width/depth, height at each position and opening dimensions.
JapanLA official-accessory listingApproximately W7.8 × H7 × D4.9 in; up to 12 standing figures.Actual selected package and usable rows; the inch figures are rounded product dimensions.
World of Mirth accessory listingSKU DRUSAS65996, up to 12 and attached 3M adhesive; figures excluded. No numeric size line in the returned description; obtain the receiving information separately.

The official size line is labeled product size, rather than clear interior. Do not allocate the whole 180 mm height above a standing surface or divide the 200 mm width by a chosen number of figures to invent a slot width. Walls, levels and the actual arrangement require their own drawing or measurements.

The rounded inch description should also stay approximate. Converting it into additional decimal places does not create more accurate internal data. Use the usable-space guide for the distinction between an outer package and its finished receiving space.

Assign the figures by headpiece and standing outline

Lay out the selection you want to see together, using a suitable prepared surface. Identify each release and retain a front-view record. Include the widest and tallest points of headpieces, any held accessory and the complete standing depth. Keep a companion piece associated with the right figure where one is actually supplied.

Place the most projecting profiles on the plan first. Then assess the remaining positions around them. A row of relatively compact headpieces and a row with broad or tall details should not receive the same clearance assumption merely because both contain Sonny Angel figures.

Check each row from the normal viewing height. A figure can be physically inside a case while its expression is obscured by another headpiece or by front branding. Shift the planned group within verified space, reduce the number or use another suitable display rather than treating all 12 positions as compulsory.

Treat the supplied tape as a specific attachment choice

The official descriptions say tape is included; the US page calls it attached 3M adhesive. Follow the instructions supplied with the actual case and figures. Those statements do not specify an adhesive product code, a replacement schedule or a residue-free removal method.

Before committing to a frequently changing arrangement, ask how a figure is meant to be attached and removed, which surfaces contact the tape and whether replacement pieces are available. Do not infer that every generic double-sided strip is equivalent simply because it has a similar appearance.

If you prefer an arrangement without adhesive contact, make that a requirement when comparing alternatives. Confirm the intended support for the exact figure and case. Omitting the supplied attachment does not automatically demonstrate stability, just as applying it does not establish that the entire loaded case may be carried.

Plan the next figure change before filling the rows

Obtain the case's opening instructions and identify the space needed to handle its removable or moving components. The returned product descriptions do not fully define that route. Do not infer it from a photograph of a closed case.

Choose a figure in the middle or rear of your proposed selection and describe how it will leave. Include access to any attachment and a suitable place for removed figures. If several headpieces or adjacent figures would obstruct the task, revise the grouping before assembling the complete display.

For a collection that grows beyond one accessory, keep each case's own footprint and removal space in the furniture plan. The sampled descriptions provide no stacking load or installation specification. A clear flat-looking surface is not sufficient evidence for stacking filled cases.

The Sonny Angel position and attachment worksheet records your selection, current item number, actual profile and outstanding questions. Use the collection measurement guide for the complete group outline.

Common questions

Does “up to 12” guarantee space for any 12 figures?

No complete receiving drawing is given in the cited descriptions. Check the actual standing profiles, headpieces and row clearance for your selection.

Are the figures included with the official case?

The cited official listings explicitly exclude mini figures. Compare the actual package contents separately from the photographed collection.

Can I repeatedly reposition figures using the included tape?

Obtain the supplied attachment and replacement instructions. Included tape alone does not establish repeated removal, reusable adhesion or a particular cleaning method.
