A lightsaber hilt and a replica with its full blade attached need very different displays. Identify the maker and model, record the state you want to retain and check whether the stand is included. A product called a lightsaber case may cover a short hilt, a long assembled replica or two separate display items.
The character name is not a complete product identity
Record the replica maker, product code and retained parts. Two products associated with the same character can have different hilt shapes, blade arrangements and supports. A third-party display intended for one named replica should not become a universal character-compatible case in your shortlist.
Make the receiving object explicit: hilt alone; complete replica with its blade in the documented state; or separately presented components. Include the actual stand and any plaque you want to retain. This is a display-planning decision, not an instruction to detach a blade or expose a chassis; follow the replica’s own instructions for permitted handling.
Also distinguish open stands from covered displays. A vertical holder, illuminated base or wall mount can present a hilt without supplying a transparent enclosure. A category’s use of “display” does not settle that difference.
Compare the receiving task before comparing the length
| Source | Published scope | Check before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| Padawan Outpost | Open, illuminated, floating and multi-saber display products in a mixed category. | Exact stand or case, receiving object and supplied components. |
| iDisplayit Master Replicas SW-202S | Inside L120 × W10 × H13 cm; outside L122 × W12 × H14 cm. | Complete supported replica; lightsaber and stand are both excluded. |
| Korbanth Short display case | Approx. 16 in long, described for 6–14 in items; choice of one- or two-tier stand. | Actual cavity, item diameter, support spacing and selected tier option. |
| Wicked Brick Leia F3904 hilt case | Horizontal external W40 × D9.5 × H12.3 cm; vertical W14 × D12 × H34.3 cm. | Exact hilt and orientation; these are outside measurements. |
| Nsabers | Desktop and vertical stands, including a light-up triple stand in a mixed category. | Open holder versus enclosure, actual receiving shape and any power requirements. |
The two categories also contain items that are not ordinary display-case choices. Padawan Outpost shows raffle listings alongside accessories; Nsabers shows a necklace and gift service alongside stands. The category count is therefore not a count of interchangeable cases. The comparison above concerns display formats, without treating those other listings as case recommendations.
A compatible case and a supplied stand are separate facts
The iDisplayit SW-202S page expressly excludes both lightsaber and stand. Its 120 cm internal length does not establish the height or width of your replica on another support. Record that supported arrangement and ask for confirmation if a stand changes the angle, base position or projections.
Its construction description specifies eighteen fittings, with the top attached to the surrounding panels and the assembled surround lifting from the base. That opening routine needs its own route at the chosen furniture. Do not count on a short independent top lid or a small access hatch where neither is described.
Korbanth instead includes the selected one- or two-tier stand. The two-tier description allows two display items or a hilt and separately presented chassis. It gives no receiving diameters, tier gaps or fully labelled interior. Those missing fields matter more than the broad “any lightsabers” wording when you choose actual objects.
Keep “approximately 16 in long” separate from the stated 6–14 in item range. Do not calculate an exact end margin from those numbers, and do not read the short case as a full-blade enclosure. Ask which surfaces and fittings define the receiving limits for the selected stand.

Treat a vertical hilt case as its own configuration
Wicked Brick describes its Leia case for the Hasbro Star Wars Black Series Leia Organa Force FX Elite hilt, model F3904. The horizontal and vertical external figures in the table belong to different intended orientations. The product describes a dedicated stand and information plaque, while the collectible itself is excluded.
A vertical outside height of 34.3 cm cannot be compared with a full replica’s blade length. Nor does turning a horizontal case onto its side establish that its support, base and closure work vertically. Choose the intended orientation explicitly and retain the exact case option with the hilt identity.
The optional printed vinyl background changes the presentation, not a confirmed cavity or electrical capability. A UV-related title and broad dust-protection wording also do not provide a measured performance result. This guide does not rank protection or establish universal compatibility from catalogue claims.
Separate the settled display from operation and maintenance
Decide what you need to do without changing the arrangement: view the replica, remove it for permitted use, reach a control or access a maintenance point. Put each task in the enquiry. A case that receives the settled outline does not automatically permit blade changes, battery work or powered operation under the cover.
For an illuminated display stand, use the actual stand’s documentation for its power and installation conditions. Category text does not establish that a separate covered box can contain its hardware or cables. Keep lightsaber electronics, an illuminated support and ordinary display lighting as separate specifications.
At the shelf, compare the complete base footprint and surround-removal route with the available furniture. The collection measurement guide covers supported profiles. The display-lighting guide addresses viewing and reflections without assigning a powered configuration to these cases.
Download the lightsaber-display worksheet to record maker/model, hilt or full-blade state, support inclusion, selected orientation, inside/outside dimensions, background and access questions. Keep the dated product answer with that exact configuration rather than generalizing it to every replica of the character.
Common questions
Does a lightsaber case always include a stand?
No. The iDisplayit example excludes it, Korbanth includes the selected tiered stand, and the Wicked Brick example describes its own hilt support. Preserve each product’s actual contents statement.
Can a hilt case display an attached blade?
Only an explicit compatible arrangement or confirmed dimensional comparison supports that choice. A short hilt case’s character name does not establish full-blade capacity.
