Choose a LEGO X-Wing display case by set number, stand and wing position together. The UCS X-Wing 75355 and Luke Skywalker's X-Wing 75301 appear in the sampled results, but they are different builds. A case for one is not a smaller or larger interchangeable version for the other.
Then identify the package you are comparing. A case around the original LEGO stand, a case with an angled ship support and a vertical case-and-stand bundle answer different needs. The closed display must fit your chosen wing state; changing that state creates a separate access question.
Set number comes before the wing silhouette
LEGO's official 75355 description identifies a top dial for flight and attack wing positions, a place for R2-D2 behind the cockpit, and a buildable display stand with plaque and Luke Skywalker space. It gives a model reference of over H27 × L55 × W44 cm. That is not a measurement of every aftermarket support arrangement.
LEGO 75301 instead has button-operated wings, retractable landing gear and an opening cockpit. Its published model reference is over H8 × L31 × W28 cm. Keep those figures with 75301 rather than using them to approve a UCS case or support.
Record your exact build and chosen wing state before arranging the figures. If you plan a modified model or a different support, describe that change explicitly; a set number alone no longer describes the complete receiving task.
Read the dimensions with the intended support
The following source pages were read in October 2026. The iDisplayit result is a 2023 format announcement, so its role here is to clarify package choices, not establish current availability or numeric sizes.
| Source and set | Published specification | Definition or gap |
|---|---|---|
| Wicked Brick 75355 | W62 × D47 × H51.3 cm; angled support beneath the ship. | Inside/outside is not labelled in the read size block. Confirm clear space for the chosen wings. |
| Brickcessories 75355 | Assembled 600 × 500 × 390 mm; included stand described for vertical or banking display. | Tuple axes and inside/outside are unlabelled. No universal angle or stand interchangeability follows. |
| Kingdom Brick Supply 75355 | Approx. inside L61.6 × W48.8 × H45.6 cm; outside L63.1 × W50.3 × H46.5 cm. | Angled ship stand and separate UCS-plaque stand are listed. The ship support angle is unstated. |
| iDisplayit 75355 announcement | Original-stand case, horizontal case with angled stand, vertical bundle and separate stands. | No numeric case dimensions in the read article. Confirm the current exact product and package. |
| Blacked Brick 75301 | External W33 × D33 × H23 cm; angled bow support, crew studs and plaque. | A different set. External size does not give its clear cavity or the support angle. |
Do not sort these products by their shortest dimension and call the first one the most compact fit. Some figures are external, some are unclassified, and the supports change the ship's orientation. Compare confirmed outer base footprints only after the exact set, supported position and required interior are established.
Distinguish the ship stand from the plaque stand
The original LEGO 75355 stand belongs to the LEGO set. An enclosure supplier can design around it or provide a different support. The iDisplayit announcement separates those routes explicitly, including a case intended for the original stand and bundles with supplier stands.
Write down whether you intend to retain the original support. For a supplier support, ask for its exact version, intended attachment and included parts. “Angled” and “vertical” are product descriptions here, not measured universal orientations that can be transferred between makers.
Kingdom Brick Supply also lists a separate UCS-plaque support. That is a second item with a different purpose from the ship stand. Include both in the layout, along with any minifigures, rather than approving only the spacecraft's outline.

A final wing position is not the movement path
Choose flight or attack presentation for the closed display, then check the full supported outline in that state. Include the outermost tips, nose, rear details and base. Do not assume the model's published rectangle remains aligned with the case axes when the support banks or elevates it.
If you want to change the wings regularly, decide where that will happen. A case that accommodates either completed pose may still lack the hand access or intermediate clearance needed to operate a dial or button inside. Follow the exact model and support instructions rather than reaching around a projecting wing under a partly lifted cover.
Where an outside adjustment is appropriate, reserve a clear work position and a documented removal route. Do not invent an extra mounting point or rotate a supported model beyond its intended arrangement to get it through the opening. Also keep 75301's operating controls separate from the UCS dial procedure.
The authorized CubeBuff gallery source supplies this article's cover photograph. It illustrates one enclosed 75355 arrangement; the photographed angle, figures and plaque do not prove the contents or compatibility of another maker's case. The full source composition is retained, proportionally resized and compressed to WebP.
Keep the wing state in the final order record
Use the X-Wing case and wing-state worksheet to record set, support version, wing state, ship and plaque stands, cavity and outer footprint. Photograph the arrangement you want confirmed instead of attaching an unrelated product image.
A focused enquiry is: “For set [number] on [original LEGO stand / your exact support], in [flight / attack] configuration, please confirm the clear interior, complete exterior including base, included supports and cover-removal space. Can the wings be changed there, or must the model first be removed as instructed?”
Check the figures and plaque from the actual shelf height before approving the scene. A readable spacecraft silhouette can still hide the front plaque or a figure below a wing. The LEGO shelf case guide covers the separate furniture and cover-access checks.
Common questions
Can a 75301 case receive 75355?
The cited product identities do not establish that. Keep each set with its own intended case and support specification.
Does “stand included” include a plaque support?
Not necessarily. Ask for an itemized package; one sampled product distinguishes the ship and plaque stands.
Does room for both wing poses mean I can change them inside?
No. Final poses, the moving outline and access to the control are separate checks.
