LEGO Temple of the Golden Idol Display Cases: 77015 Controls

Compare 77015 Temple of the Golden Idol cases around the four controls, figures and scene. Retain conflicting size lines, labelled interiors and lighting versions.

LEGO Temple of the Golden Idol Display Cases: 77015 Controls

Choose a display case for LEGO Temple of the Golden Idol 77015 around both the scene you want to see and the controls you want to reach. Its wide plinth, four knobs, figures and moving features create a different enquiry from a static model’s nominal size. Keep the chosen case version and its complete base in the same record.

The plinth is part of the display, not spare space

LEGO’s official 77015 description identifies four knobs on the plinth and several actions: lowering and lighting the idol, a collapsing wall, a swing across the cavern, a trapdoor and the boulder sequence. It also identifies Indiana Jones, Satipo, Belloq and a Hovitos Warrior.

Record the model in its intended settled state, with the complete plinth and selected figure positions. Retain any whip, projecting scenery or other accessory actually included in that arrangement. A footprint traced around the main walls can miss the controls along the base.

The official descriptive reference is over H21 × W51 × D19 cm. It describes the model, without specifying the surrounding space for your hands, every moving position or an aftermarket base. Do not subtract it from a case’s rounded size to claim an exact operating allowance.

A closed scene and an interactive demonstration need different access

Three 77015 display decisions
Intended useRecord firstQuestion for the case maker
Settled sceneComplete plinth, chosen wall and trapdoor states, figures and scenery.Which usable cavity and locators receive this exact arrangement?
Feature demonstrationThe particular knob and model action you want to operate. What opens, and can the control and moving parts be approached under its instructions?
Lighted presentationModel idol light, optional case lighting and retained leads as separate items.Which supplied components, connections and access points belong to this case version?

Choose which feature matters to you before selecting a background. The idol may be the visual focus, while a figure’s escape route or the boulder is another view. A dark cave print can change that composition; it cannot establish the free movement or hand access behind the front panel.

For occasional demonstrations, an enclosure that opens appropriately may be more useful than attempting to operate everything through an unspecified gap. Obtain the intended opening sequence. Neither a product photograph nor a compatible-set number demonstrates that all actions can run with the cover closed.

Two printed length blocks should remain unresolved until the order is clear

BrickcessoriesAssembled 550 × 230 × 224 mm.Axes and inside/outside boundary unlabelled; do not assign a guessed height.

Flying Box’s page gives both size blocks with four cube connectors. Do not choose the longer line simply because it seems easier to accommodate. Ask which case and base pair is supplied and request its usable interior.

Wicked Brick describes locating studs for the build and figures, a lift-off clear surround and two black base layers joined by magnets. Those magnets describe the base construction, without establishing a magnetic access door or clearance for the model’s mechanisms.

Kingdom Brick Supply gives a 72 × 28-stud reference and fourteen screws. The stud pattern is not the full movement envelope. Its instruction against relocation with LEGO inside also stays with that case.

Brickcessories offers clear or black rear treatments and a flat-packed kit with corner brackets. Get a labelled receiving drawing before interpreting its assembled size sequence as a clear cavity.

The idol’s light and an illuminated case are separate systems

Aqua Rainbow Design’s expanded specification labels an approximate interior and describes a hollow lighted base. Its materials text mentions white or colorful lighting and USB or Type-C, while the upgrade notice names colorful lighting and Type-C. The page also warns that photographs may show earlier versions.

Confirm the supplied version, base datum and opening in writing. The page uses several construction descriptions, including snap-fit, mortise-and-tenon or nail wording and metal screws. Those phrases should not be combined into an invented routine-access panel. Its stated cutting variation is also not a guaranteed spare allowance around the model.

Case lighting does not operate the model’s idol control. Keep the two access tasks separate, using each product’s own instructions. A UV-printed background is artwork, without establishing measured UV filtering.

Invented scene and controls. Not actual LEGO 77015 geometry, knob-to-action mapping, motion clearance, wiring or tested fit.

Plan where the cover rests before reaching a knob

Identify the part intended to open, its complete removal route and a resting place for it. Then establish how you approach the selected control without leaning on scenery or moving a figure merely to make room. Follow the model and case instructions for the actual operation.

Use the 77015 scene, control and case worksheet with the LEGO shelf case guide. Include the whole base and opened enclosure in the furniture plan; a shelf that receives the closed case has not established the opening routine.

Common questions

Which Flying Box length should I use?

The page prints two case/base pairs. Request the exact supplied version and its labelled cavity rather than selecting a preferred number.

Does a 77015 case let me operate all four knobs inside?

Confirm each intended action and the actual case opening. Static compatibility does not establish full mechanism or hand access.
