LEGO Soundwave Display Cases: 10358, Cassette Companions and Access

Plan a LEGO Soundwave 10358 case with Ravage, Laserbeak, accessories and play-button access. Compare five listings and retain missing dimension definitions.

LEGO Soundwave Display Cases: 10358, Cassette Companions and Access

A LEGO Soundwave display case needs a plan for three characters, their display forms and the functions you want to reach. For set 10358, choose Soundwave’s robot or cassette-player state, then decide whether Ravage and Laserbeak remain separate or one occupies the cassette bay. The complete scene determines the receiving space.

Give Ravage and Laserbeak their own display records

LEGO’s official 10358 description identifies Soundwave, Ravage and Laserbeak. Soundwave converts to a cassette player; the two companions convert to tapes that fit individually into the cassette bay. A play button activates the sound brick, and the model also has a rocket pod, laser blaster, dart accessories and plaque.

Start by deciding what remains visible. A robot flanked by two companions creates a different footprint from a cassette player with one tape inside. Keep the other companion and any unused accessory in the inventory if it will still be displayed within the enclosure.

The official robot reference is over 33 cm high. It is not a complete cassette-player specification or a width and depth for every three-character arrangement. Record the actual selected forms instead of attaching that height to a footprint borrowed from another Transformers model.

A longer floor and a wider floor answer different layouts

Think about which direction the companions occupy. A row across the front, a companion beside Soundwave and a separate plaque can use floor space differently. The receiving question concerns the whole supported arrangement, including any separately supplied clear stand.

The iDisplayit case lists an inside L39 × W18 cm floor, while Kingdom Brick Supply lists approximately L29.6 × W23.2 cm. Both give a 36 cm inside height. The first floor is longer and narrower; a shared height does not establish the same companion layout.

Keep each supplier’s axes and intended viewing direction with its figures. Do not choose from floor area alone: an irregular group can exceed one axis even when the total rectangular area looks generous. The named stud areas are base descriptions, not a map of every accessory position.

Keep missing axes attached to the size line

These supplier descriptions were read on 18 October 2026. They are published figures and questions for confirmation, not physical fitting trials or a ranking of cases.

Brickcessories describes a clear stand and space for Soundwave alongside the two companions, but its numeric line does not name the axes. Do not declare 180 mm to be the height or rearrange the numbers until an upright robot appears to fit. Ask for a labelled drawing and the intended form, stand and companion arrangement.

Wicked Brick lists Premium Printed, Printed and Clear rear choices. Choose the actual background before assessing the companion view. Graphic-process wording does not establish usable depth or independently tested UV filtering.

ICUANUTY describes an integrated base and screw closure. Obtain the clear cavity and intended opening for that product. Its general Formula 1 and wall-mount FAQs do not define a Soundwave attachment or access route. Material-test claims likewise do not supply the missing receiving dimensions.

Choose whether you will use the button and bay

A closed viewing display and an occasional demonstration need different access plans. If the sound button matters, identify how it will be reached after the enclosure is opened as intended. A transparent front does not provide a physical operating aperture.

For a cassette change, keep the individual-bay description accurate. Do not assume both converted companions occupy it together. Decide where the removed tape or deployed companion will rest during the change and whether the normal arrangement must first be moved.

Use the actual model instructions for conversion and handling. The static robot fitting inside a case does not establish space to transform it there, extend every accessory or operate the bay under the cover. Plan those activities separately from the resting outline.

Record the opening route and the exact package

iDisplayit describes a clear surround placed over the model and located on the base. Confirm its intended routine opening sequence, including where the removed part rests. Assembly fittings alone do not establish an independently removable front panel.

Both iDisplayit and Kingdom Brick Supply say their cases are not designed to be relocated with the LEGO model inside. Settle the final location and intended handling before filling the display. A stand named in one maker’s package is not automatically supplied by another.

Use the Soundwave scene and function worksheet for the forms, accessories, plaque, dimensions and access. The collection measurement guide covers the complete occupied profile, and the LEGO shelf case guide covers the confirmed enclosure’s location.

Common questions

Can both companion tapes be assumed to fit in the bay together?

The official description says they fit individually. Keep the chosen occupant and the other companion’s position in the plan.

Does a 36 cm inside height establish the whole display?

Check the complete supported scene, floor dimensions and access. Height alone does not settle the companion arrangement.
