LEGO Red Bull RB20 Display Cases: 42206 Fit and Feature Access

Compare Red Bull RB20 42206 case dimensions, support contents and access for steering, DRS and the engine cover. Separate enclosed cases from wall-frame claims.

LEGO Red Bull RB20 Display Cases: 42206 Fit and Feature Access

Choose a LEGO Red Bull RB20 42206 display case by its usable interior and confirmed support contents. Four sampled enclosure pages give different measurement definitions, while a wall-frame listing raises separate questions about its cover and lighting options. Keep the car’s steering, rear-wing position and removable engine cover with the fit enquiry.

The RB20 reference is 14 cm high before an added support

The official LEGO 42206 specification describes a 1:8 model over H14 × L63 × W24 cm. Steering works through the top knob or cockpit wheel. The model has suspension, a two-speed gearbox, differential, removable engine cover and adjustable DRS-inspired spoiler.

Record 42206 on the shortlist. A Red Bull team name does not identify the smaller Speed Champions car or the receiving points of another Technic F1 model. Likewise, the official 14 cm reference does not describe the height of your car on an aftermarket stand.

Settle the front wheels and rear wing, then decide whether the engine cover stays fitted. If it will sit beside the car, include its separate supported position and the information plaque in the layout. Measure the whole intended arrangement rather than adding an assumed allowance to the official height.

Compare four cases without turning exterior sizes into interiors

These original product descriptions were checked on 18 October 2026. Their stated boundaries are retained below. DisplayCasePro has not physically fitted the cases or tested their protection, stacking or support performance.

An unlabelled 17.3 cm height cannot be compared directly with a 16 cm usable interior. Even where the interior is labelled, subtracting the official model height does not establish room for a raised support, a hand or a moving spoiler. Ask for the actual supported arrangement above the finished floor.

A base, fittings and a raised stand are different contents

Wicked Brick identifies 3 mm panels, a 5 mm matte black base and an etched plaque, with clear or printed rear choices. That list does not specify an included elevated car stand. iDisplayit describes flat-packed panels and fittings with black, white or Clear (Stackable) base choices; its sampled RB20 page also does not identify a raised stand.

Kingdom Brick Supply gives a stud-area reference and 14 screws, but those details do not describe a particular underbody receiver. It explicitly says the case is not designed to be relocated with the LEGO set inside. Plan a permanent receiving surface and follow the actual removal instructions before moving the display.

Elevenmark describes a mirrored/printed double-sided base, themed rear and information plaque. Its A–D letters do not, by themselves, identify support geometry or lighting contents. Obtain a labelled description for the selected letter. Optical, UV and dust claims across these pages remain supplier statements rather than independent results.

A wall-frame photograph needs its own cover and option record

A blue Red Bull RB20 LEGO model displayed vertically against an illuminated racing background in a CubeBuff frame
Authorized CubeBuff 42206 gallery photograph, whole composition retained. It illustrates an illuminated frame; it does not establish the selected order option, an enclosing cover, installed load capacity or measured car clearance. Artwork and model markings remain intact.

CubeBuff lists frame dimensions of 50 × 80 × 3.5 cm and frame-space dimensions of 47.6 × 77.6 × 2.8 cm. The shallow frame-space line is not a documented cavity receiving the complete car. Its description uses enclosed-construction wording, so request the actual cover specification and complete loaded projection before treating it as an enclosed alternative.

The same page exposes A/B/C options while its FAQ discusses Standard and LED versions. The read text does not map those labels to one another. Keep a photograph of the selected configuration with written confirmation of lighting, power contents and cover inclusion; do not choose a letter by inference.

The sampled BRKOX display article compares wall frames, cases and stands as presentation formats. It supplies no exact receiving drawing. Its preference for a wall display does not decide your support, enclosure or installation requirements.

Use the RB20 fit and feature-access worksheet. Keep the support, opening method and current drawing together. The measurement guide covers complete outlines, and the LEGO shelf-case guide covers furniture placement.

Common questions

Does an RB20 case necessarily include a display stand?

Confirm the exact contents. A base and assembly fittings do not establish an included raised stand.

Can I operate DRS inside a case that fits the resting car?

A resting fit does not demonstrate movement or hand access. Establish the enclosure-opening sequence before operating the feature.
