LEGO McLaren Senna Display Cases: GTR 42123 or MP4/4 10330?

A LEGO McLaren Senna display case can refer to two different sets: Technic Senna GTR 42123 or Icons McLaren MP4/4 and Ayrton Senna 10330. Identify yours before comparing sizes. The GTR’s opening doors create a different task from arranging the MP4/4, its car stand and the separate driver podium.

The two official length references do not make one fit

Both official descriptions give a length reference of over 32 cm. Their widths, heights, bodies and display contents differ. Keep the exact model with every case quotation rather than relying on the Senna name or length alone.

These are model references, not clear case dimensions or a complete plan of separately arranged stands. LEGO describes the GTR doors as opening upward and outward. For 10330, it identifies working steering, rod suspension and an adjustable rear wing; the driver’s podium carries a photo and quote.

The Technic P1 42172 is another McLaren. Its butterfly-door scene, case measurements and support products should not be transferred to either set here. Likewise, a Senna helmet is a separate object even when it appears in related shopping results.

Choose one complete arrangement to show the supplier

For the GTR, start with its everyday door position: closed body, one posed door or a specifically confirmed open-door scene. Include the whole supported car in that outline. A cavity’s height minus LEGO’s qualified reference does not establish door clearance, especially when an aftermarket stand changes the car’s position.

Then decide whether the top steering wheel needs occasional access. An enclosure that receives a resting car does not necessarily offer space to reach over the roof or turn the wheels. Plan the case opening before the operation rather than assuming that a clear panel is also an access panel.

For 10330, mark the car stand and the driver podium as separate positions. Decide which way the statistics and quote should face from your viewing location. A long strip beside the car is not automatically suitable for the complete podium, its projecting plaque and an unobstructed view.

Retaining the original car stand is also different from replacing it with a supplier’s own support. Ask which arrangement the quoted case receives. A product’s 10330 label does not identify every possible position for both stands and the adjustable rear wing.

Keep GTR and MP4/4 case records in separate groups

These descriptions were checked on 18 October 2026. The sample contains four enclosure records and a seller’s styling article. It is not a five-product performance ranking, and no physical fit, protection or durability tests were carried out for this guide.

shopPOPdisplays’ original-page record, reported as crawled the previous month, describes a ready-to-assemble case with a clear stand and black base. The direct HTTP request remained blocked. Confirm the present package and drawing; those exterior figures are not a current stock statement or an open-door fit result.

iDisplayit lists black or white bases for its GTR case without establishing an included raised stand in the main read. Do not import the shopPOPdisplays support into that cavity. Wicked Brick’s MP4/4 version offers clear or UV-printed rear options and an information plaque; a related shared F1 or limited-edition product is a separate order.

Do not silently enlarge Flying Box’s base figures

Flying Box’s stated 9 × 3.9 in base is smaller than its 14.2 × 8 in case floor reference. Keep both published lines with the enquiry. Do not replace them with a plausible larger footprint or use the smaller pair to approve a narrow shelf. A labelled drawing should identify the full base, case boundary and actual received 10330 arrangement.

The DIA article’s relative-price comparisons, protection assertions and claimed durability findings are not supported by a test method or selected receiving drawing in the material read. This guide does not adopt them as verified performance. Its room suggestions can prompt a location choice, but they do not establish clear space for the car and podium or remove a fall risk.

Send the selected scene, not just the Senna name

For a GTR enquiry, attach the set number, door state, exact support and whole supported outline. For MP4/4, include both intended stand positions and any plaque that stays on view. Request the usable cavity above the finished floor, complete outside base and routine opening instructions for that version.

Reserve somewhere for removed case parts before changing doors or a wing. A lift-away surround must pass the highest selected detail; an assembly kit with screws does not automatically have a daily-use front door. Common questions

Will a case for either 32 cm-long Senna model fit the other?

That does not follow from length. The official references have different widths and heights, and the intended supports and scene contents differ.

Does a 10330 fit statement include every podium position?

Ask for the intended complete arrangement. Model compatibility and an unrestricted layout for two stands are different claims.
