Choose a LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse 75827 display case after deciding whether the building stays closed or opens to show its rooms. The sampled options include an explicitly closed-only case, an open-titled case and a Firehouse-plus-21108 ECTO-1 case. Those descriptions represent different arrangements, even when they share the same set number.
Open walls change the building’s receiving footprint
The official LEGO Firehouse 75827 specification describes a closed building over H36 × W25 × D38 cm and an opened building over H36 × W46 × D38 cm. It also identifies transparent ghost arms, nine minifigures and additional ghost figures. These are model references, rather than a measurement of every staged scene.
For a closed street-front display, record the roof details and anything placed in front of the garage. For an interior view, settle both walls and choose the rooms you want visible before measuring. An open-width reference does not specify where your figures, ghost arms or companion car will sit.
Decide whether the case will contain an already opened building or whether you expect to open the walls during viewing. The second task also needs an access route and room for handling. A case that receives an opened model does not automatically permit the entire wall movement with its cover fitted.
Read each dimension with its stated boundary
These original pages were read on 18 October 2026. The dimensions below retain their published definitions. DisplayCasePro has not physically fitted these products or tested their UV, dust or structural performance.
| Source | Published dimensions | Arrangement to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Brickcessories open case | Assembled 410 × 540 × 430 mm; axes and inside/outside boundary unlabelled. | Opened walls, selected rear and complete scene. |
| Wicked Brick | W38 × D47 × H39.3 cm; inside/outside unlabelled. | Exact wall position above the finished base. |
| iDisplayit closed-only case | Inside L52 × W26 × H43 cm; outside L54 × W28 × H44 cm. | Closed building and the intended front-space layout. |
| BrickInIt Firehouse and 21108 | W56 × D42 × H39 cm; inside/outside unlabelled. | Named car, wall position and clear usable cavity. |
| FantasMall | Internal L45 × W40 × H40 cm; approximate 18 × 16 × 16 inches also shown. | Chosen base revision, scene orientation and outer footprint. |
Do not rotate an unlabelled dimension line to declare a fit. Obtain a drawing that places the front of the building, case opening and selected rear on named axes. The iDisplayit entry explicitly restricts this product to a closed building; its link to another open case does not expand the closed product’s specification.
FantasMall announces a solid wood base upgrade while its materials line still lists acrylic and PVC. Ask which base applies to the order and where the finished interior floor sits. Its rounded inch figures and general exterior-offset FAQ do not replace a current product drawing.
The garage reference names the smaller 21108 ECTO-1
LEGO explicitly identifies 21108 as the separately sold car that fits the Firehouse garage. Keep that number in the enquiry. The much larger 10274 ECTO-1 is a separate display task; a general mention of space for ECTO-1 does not establish room for that model.
The sampled BrickInIt Ghostbusters collection separates a 10274 car case from its 75827/21108 Firehouse product. The linked Firehouse page specifies the smaller pair, a 3 mm surround, 5 mm base and metal corner cubes. It does not clearly specify a fully opened Firehouse arrangement. Request that arrangement rather than reading the wide dimension as proof.
For an exterior scene, show whether the car is inside the garage, outside it or beside the building. Include its complete resting outline. A scene photograph with an identifiable set number is a more useful enquiry attachment than the words “Firehouse with ECTO-1.”
Choose a cover-removal routine before staging the ghosts

Wicked Brick describes a clear surround that lifts off and returns to base grooves, with embedded set and figure studs. Its magnetic two-tier base describes base construction; it is not evidence that the building can be moved with the case. Keep the intended model position and the clear surround’s handling route in the same drawing.
Before arranging transparent ghost arms, choose where the removed cover will rest and how you will reach the model. A dramatic scene that occupies the upper corners may leave a different handling task from a closed, unstaged building. Avoid promising a numerical allowance without measuring your complete arrangement.
| Chosen view | Record before choosing | Access question |
|---|---|---|
| Closed exterior | Roof, front figures and any garage car. | Can the surround come off without contacting the scene? |
| Opened rooms | Settled walls and complete staged outline. | Is the model opened before enclosure assembly? |
| Occasional room access | Closed resting scene plus planned wall movement. | Which parts must be removed or repositioned first? |
Send one scene and one labelled drawing request
Use the Firehouse open-or-closed worksheet to keep the car number, wall position, ghost arms, usable interior and opening sequence together. The measurement guide covers complete outlines; the LEGO shelf-case guide covers furniture placement.
Common questions
Can I use the closed-only case for an opened Firehouse?
The cited product expressly says closed only. Obtain an opened-layout specification for a different receiving arrangement.
Does a Firehouse case also fit the large 10274 ECTO-1?
The sampled descriptions do not establish that combination. LEGO’s garage reference names 21108; ask separately about any larger car.
