LEGO Diagon Alley Display Cases: 75978, 76444 and Layouts

Separate Diagon Alley 75978, microscale 76444 and a Gringotts combination. Compare rows, tiered layouts, rear stairs and conflicting size labels.

LEGO Diagon Alley Display Cases: 75978, 76444 and Layouts

Choose a LEGO Diagon Alley display case by set number and finished layout. Large street 75978, microscale Wizarding Shops 76444 and a street combined with Gringotts 76417 are different receiving tasks. Keep rear stairs, separate bank levels and any tiered arrangement explicit before comparing dimensions.

The same shopping-street name covers different builds

Three official Diagon Alley identities
SetOfficial referenceRetain with the layout
75978 Diagon AlleyOver H29 × W102 × D13 cm; 14 minifigures.Large modular street and its actual chosen arrangement.
76444 Wizarding ShopsOver H14 × W88 × D8 cm when presented as one long row.Microscale; two-sided street, long row or five modules, with 12 microfigures and Knight Bus.
Older 10217 Diagon AlleyCompleted model L60 × D30 × H21 cm, depending on space between parts.Three buildings and 11 minifigures; another separately identified arrangement.

Keep the 76444 long-row qualifier attached to its dimensions. It does not describe the depth of a two-sided street or the footprint of five separated modules. A case for a similarly named large minifigure-scale street is not a size alternative for the same composition.

For a combined street, list every added model and level. The cited shopPOPdisplays product specifically names 75978 plus 76417 with the underground layer. That package should not be compared as though it were a case for 75978 alone or for 76444’s built-in microscale bank.

One compact 75978 case explicitly excludes rear-facing stairs

Wicked Brick states that its 75978 case sits very close to the back of the set and the rear-facing stairs will not fit. Preserve that restriction in the enquiry. A set-specific title does not override an expressly excluded projection.

If keeping the stairs and your current building arrangement matters, request a receiving drawing that includes them. Do not quietly remove parts, reverse the buildings or substitute the shorter depth line from a different Diagon Alley product. Decide which complete scene you want before accepting a compact enclosure’s conditions.

The same product describes embedded set and figure studs, a magnetic plaque and a printed rear. Ask how those locations relate to your buildings and preferred view. Fixed receiving positions can organize the scene without being a free floor for every rearrangement.

Retain the model, layout and measurement definition

These descriptions were read on 18 October 2026. The comparison preserves stated exterior boundaries, missing labels and a unit conflict. It is not a physical fit test or a ranking of equivalent products.

A long row, short case and three-tier display need their own drawings

The Flying Box 76444 product page gives Version 1 long case L36 × W5.25 × H6.75 inches, with a 36.5 × 5.75-inch base. Version 2 short gives L19 × W7.5 × H6.75 inches and a 19.5 × 8-inch base. Those case lines do not label inside versus outside.

Keep each larger base in the furniture plan. Ask which actual building arrangement each version receives, rather than treating short as the same long row compressed. A version name does not specify where the model folds, which connections remain or how modules are supported.

Elevenmark expressly describes a three-tier presentation. Its metric height of 6 cm does not agree with the paired 4.8-inch height. Keep both original statements and ask for a corrected labelled specification. The same description mentions seven minifigures, while LEGO identifies 76444 as microscale with twelve microfigures; do not use that merchant sentence as a model inventory.

Original records separating a complete street layout, a case cavity and an unresolved height-unit pair
Invented layout and specification records. No real shop geometry, stair omission instruction, bank support, tier arrangement or corrected measurement is shown.

Plan the rear view and added bank before choosing a cover

Choose whether the main view is the facades, an open street or the interiors. A printed rear provides a scenic boundary while replacing the view through that side. It does not resolve the depth of a rear stair or the handling route to a module.

For P_21129, retain the stated exclusion of studs and stand when asking how the chosen street and underground-bank combination is received. Its exterior height and an assembly recommendation do not specify the clear cavity, support design or routine opening procedure. This guide has not read the linked assembly or customization PDFs.

Obtain the exact enclosure’s opening sequence and somewhere to rest removed panels before reaching the shops. A static long-row fit does not prove room to divide modules, operate a feature or rearrange a tiered scene inside it.

Use the Diagon Alley set, layout and discrepancy worksheet with the collection measurement guide and LEGO shelf-case guide.

Common questions

Does a 76444 long-row size apply to the two-sided street?

Keep the official long-row qualifier. Ask for the actual outline and receiving arrangement of your chosen alternative layout.

Should I correct the 6 cm and 4.8-inch pair myself?

Retain the conflict and obtain a corrected drawing from the supplier. Neither a guessed unit conversion nor a plausible height establishes the intended cavity.
