Start a LEGO Black Pearl display-case comparison with the set number. The sampled results mix the older Black Pearl 4184 with Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship 10365. Keep each ship, its chosen support and its case in a separate record before comparing dimensions, scenic backgrounds or optional display bases.
A familiar ship name does not make the two sets interchangeable
Flying Box’s Black Pearl case explicitly names 4184. The Wicked Brick, Elevenmark and Brickcessories enclosure pages in the sample name 10365. Do not assume that a case under the shared Black Pearl search phrase is intended for the same model.
| Item | What the source identifies | Keep separate |
|---|---|---|
| LEGO 4184 | Older Black Pearl named by Flying Box. | Its own complete build and receiving case. |
| LEGO 10365 | Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship named by the other enclosure pages. | The chosen original stand or waterline presentation. |
| KGBOX Kraken’s Grasp | An open display base for 10365. | A separately supported assembly, without an enclosing cover. |
Record the exact model before asking whether a supplier can accommodate it. Include retained boats, figures, accessories or scene additions that remain outside the principal hull. A product image or familiar sail color does not replace the set number and selected arrangement.
No official 4184 model dimensions were used in this comparison. The older case’s own published size is not evidence for 10365 or a measured outline of either ship. Keep unanswered compatibility questions with the corresponding model.
The 10365 angled stand and waterline presentation differ
LEGO’s official 10365 description offers an angled display stand or a hull separation at the waterline. It also describes side cannons, a working rudder, opening deck access to the captain’s quarters and a detachable rowboat. Its descriptive model reference is over H64 × L64 × W23 cm.
That official reference is not a measured enclosure cavity or a specification for an aftermarket base. Choose the actual stand or waterline state before asking about receiving space. Do not assume removing part of the hull produces a particular new height or preserves the same supported footprint.
For the angled arrangement, include the whole supported ship, bow, sail edges and projecting rigging in the outline. For a waterline scene, identify the intended receiving surface and every accessory that stays beside the ship. Keep those records separate rather than combining the smallest dimensions from each mode.
Decide whether the side cannons remain in their selected display position or will be operated after opening the enclosure. A static width does not define the room for every feature’s movement. The ship’s operating instructions and the enclosure’s opening sequence remain separate.
A higher outside dimension is not automatically more sail clearance
These five descriptions were read on 18 October 2026. DisplayCasePro has not fitted the ships, tested supports or verified optical and protective claims.
| Exact product | Published figures | Boundary to retain |
|---|---|---|
| Wicked Brick 10365 | W70 × D29 × H67.3 cm. | Inside/outside boundary unstated. |
| Elevenmark 10365 | L68 × W29 × H70.3 cm; stated 8 kg. | No labelled cavity; stated weight is not a load rating. |
| Flying Box 4184 | Case L24.5 × W12 × H21.5 in; separate base 25 × 12.5 in. | Different ship; case inside/outside boundary unstated. |
| Brickcessories 10365 | Inside 674 × 294 × 680 mm; outside 686 × 306 × 687.5 mm. | Boundaries labelled, but tuple axes are not. |
| KGBOX Kraken’s Grasp 10365 | No numerical size or receiving drawing in the inspected main. | Open base, without an enclosure cavity. |
Wicked Brick describes clear and printed options, including a premium printed-base treatment. Its W × D × H line alone does not establish the cavity above a particular support. Confirm the selected version and what base or stand components it includes.
Elevenmark describes a dual-sided mirrored or UV-printed base. Those surfaces change the view beneath the ship; they do not establish usable space or independent UV performance. Its 8 kg figure should not be treated as a supported-load limit.
Brickcessories supplies separate inside and outside tuples. Ask for a labelled axis drawing rather than silently assigning the third number to height. Keep the actual ship and support orientation with that drawing before making a fit decision.
An optional Kraken base changes the complete supported outline
KGBOX’s Kraken’s Grasp base is a freestanding display accessory for 10365, with articulated tentacles and a claimed pose-adjustment feature. It is not a closed case. The inspected description did not provide dimensions, a load limit or a model-contact drawing.
Its product-specific fully-preassembled statement also sits beside generic text saying products arrive flat-packed. Ask which assembly state applies to this exact order. Do not resolve that contradiction by assuming a particular joint, installation sequence or included ship.
If you want this base inside another enclosure, obtain the whole supported assembly’s outline and the intended receiving connection first. A case specified for the original LEGO stand does not automatically accommodate the base’s tentacles, changed angle or additional height.

Reserve a route past the sail edges before lifting a surround
Identify the enclosure’s actual release and lifting route, including furniture above it. Keep the bow, mast tops and outer sail edges away from that route under the selected product’s instructions. Do not lean on the rigging or bend a sail to compensate for an unconfirmed opening.
Opening the deck or retrieving the rowboat may require the surround to come away first. Reserve a resting place for removed enclosure parts and establish how the model stays properly supported. A closed display’s dimensions do not specify room to operate every feature inside it.

Use the Black Pearl model, support and case worksheet with the collection measurement guide and LEGO shelf case guide to keep ship identity, receiving space and the whole furniture footprint in separate fields.
Common questions
Can I order by the Black Pearl name alone?
Keep the exact set number and supported arrangement explicit. The sampled case results include both 4184 and 10365.
Will a case for the original stand fit a Kraken base?
Obtain confirmation for the entire alternate assembly. The base’s appearance and model-specific title do not establish another maker’s enclosure compatibility.
