LEGO Apollo 11 Display Cases: 10266 Lander and Moon Scene

Compare LEGO Apollo 11 10266 cases for the complete lunar scene. Check landing feet, figures, ascent-stage plans, inside sizes, mirrored bases and cover access.

LEGO Apollo 11 Display Cases: 10266 Lander and Moon Scene

A LEGO Apollo 11 display case should receive the complete 10266 lunar scene: lander, terrain, astronauts, flag, instruments and nameplate. Decide whether the ascent and descent stages will stay joined before comparing cases. A box shown around the assembled lander does not establish a supported layout for the detached ascent stage.

Keep the whole moon scene in the receiving plan

LEGO's 10266 description identifies separate ascent and descent stages, a lunar surface with a crater and footprints, a flag, two astronauts and a nameplate. The descent stage has landing pads, a ladder and opening camera and laser hatches; a video camera and laser reflector are also described.

The descriptive metric reference is over H20 × W22 × D20 cm. Use it as a published model reference, then record your actual complete arrangement. The page's paired inch labels are not used here to produce an exact conversion or a case-clearance calculation.

Begin with a front and plan view of the scene you intend to leave enclosed. Include the furthest landing foot, flag, ladder and any figure placed outside the terrain's edge. The grey terrain is part of the display, rather than an empty case floor that can automatically receive other models.

Keep the number 10266 in the enquiry. A NASA collection can also contain upright Saturn V rockets, horizontal rockets and Discovery with Hubble. Those products have different supports and outlines; the shared Apollo or NASA name does not identify a lander enclosure.

An assembled lander and a separated stage need different records

PresentationInclude in the sceneResolve before ordering
Joined landerBoth stages on the terrain with landing feet, figures, flag and instruments in their final positions. The intended base position and usable cavity for this complete arrangement.
Ascent stage displayed separatelyBoth stage outlines and the actual support intended for the detached component.A documented support and receiving layout; none of the five descriptions below establishes that complete arrangement.
Occasional interior or hatch accessThe settled display plus the operation you expect to perform.Whether the outer cover must be removed and where detached parts will rest.

The fact that LEGO describes separable stages does not mean the upper stage is intended to rest on an improvised case fitting. If a detached presentation is important, ask for the specific support and its relationship to the terrain. Additional height alone is not the missing support specification.

For occasional demonstrations, consider keeping the normal display assembled and handling the model according to its own instructions after opening the enclosure. Record that routine separately from the static scene so it does not become an unsupported claim that every hatch and stage can be operated inside.

Compare inside space and whole-case size separately

The supplier descriptions below were read on 17 October 2026. They provide attributed specifications, not our physical fit tests or a product ranking. FantasMall's NASA category was followed to its matching 10266 product before using that product's dimensions.

Wicked Brick 10266, LDS80.1.7External W27 × D27 × H26.3 cm.Tiered magnetic base with embedded set studs and a lift-off clear cover. Obtain the actual clear interior.
Brickcessories 10266Assembled 260 × 260 × 230 mm.The written sequence does not label axes or inside/outside. Clear, black or printed rear choices are described.
Elevenmark Premium Ultra 10266L25 × W25 × H30 cm.Inside/outside is unstated. A themed backdrop and dual-sided mirrored/printed base are described; confirm the selected visible surfaces.
iDisplayit 10266Internal L26 × W26 × H24 cm; external L28 × W28 × H25 cm.The completed clear surround goes over the model on the base. Confirm the intended terrain and figure positions.
FantasMall 1026625 × 25 × 25 cm; FAQ identifies the labelled size as internal.Obtain the exact finished exterior and opening routine. Its painted background is described as nonremovable.

Wicked Brick's 26.3 cm external height is not directly comparable with iDisplayit's 24 cm internal height. A base layer, cover seating and fittings can affect the reference surfaces. Do not subtract advertised sheet thicknesses and call the result a verified interior.

Likewise, the unlabelled 30 cm Elevenmark height does not prove room for a detached ascent stage above the joined model. Resolve the measurement boundary and support arrangement first. FantasMall's approximate FAQ exterior offsets should not be converted into an exact order dimension for an unconfirmed assembly.

Separate the LEGO terrain from the case's decorative surfaces

A lunar print, a black floor and a mirror change the presentation in different ways. The set's own terrain occupies floor area and can obscure part of a decorative surface beneath it. Ask which surface is visible around the assembled model rather than choose from a background name alone.

Elevenmark describes a dual-sided mirrored and UV-printed base as well as a themed backdrop. Request a diagram or clear description of the selected configuration: which side faces upward, which element forms the rear and whether changing the effect requires removing the model. The wording does not establish two independently visible floor layers.

Wicked Brick's magnets connect its tiered base layers; its description separately identifies embedded studs for the set. Do not turn that into a claim that the lander is magnetically attached. For another maker, obtain its own receiving arrangement instead of transferring those features.

Plan the cover route around the scene you chose

Wicked Brick explicitly describes lifting the clear cover from its base. iDisplayit describes a completed transparent surround placed over the model. Check the chosen product's actual opening routine at the intended shelf, including the route past the flag and upper details and a place to rest the cover.

Decide which task will happen most often: reaching an astronaut, opening a hatch or separating the ascent stage. Space for the model at rest does not establish hand access for all three. Keep each requested operation attached to the maker's instructions.

Use the full exterior for the furniture plan. iDisplayit's 28 × 28 cm outside footprint differs from its 26 × 26 cm inside floor. The LEGO shelf-case guide covers the receiving surface once the complete enclosure is identified.

The Apollo 11 scene worksheet keeps terrain, figures, stage state, support, surface choices and dimensions together. Enclosure and background descriptions do not establish measured UV performance, dust sealing or stacking loads.

Common questions

Does a case labelled Apollo fit a Saturn V rocket?

Identify the set number. This comparison concerns the 10266 lander; a Saturn V rocket case addresses a different model, pose and support.

Can the ascent stage be displayed detached?

Obtain the actual support and complete layout. The model's separable stages and a case's height do not establish that arrangement on their own.

Is the larger height automatically better?

Match the dimension definitions first, then the intended scene and access routine. An unlabelled product height cannot rank clear interiors.
