A volleyball display case needs a plan for the actual seated ball and the messages you want to read. Team inscriptions can spread around several panels, while a riser platform changes the starting surface for usable height. Choose the exact tabletop or wall format before comparing finishes.
Choose a front view without losing the other messages
Record the team, season or event as documented, then identify the inscriptions that matter most. A ball signed around several panels may not have one face that shows every message. Choose the usual view deliberately and keep a separate photographic record of the remaining surfaces.
Make the support part of that decision. Ask what the intended seat contacts and which lower markings it hides. An extra ring placed on an existing platform changes the supported arrangement; it should be included in the case enquiry rather than added after the size has been selected.
Keep the ball in its intended display state and follow its own maker's care information. A case title is not a reason to alter a personally important ball to fit. Neither a team inscription nor a product described for signed balls establishes authenticity or game use.
Separate an enclosure from an open ball shelf
Better Display Cases’ volleyball range presents base and riser choices, while its visible product links include an open floating ball shelf. Select the covered case, wall-mounted enclosure or open holder you actually need. A product count does not count interchangeable volleyball boxes.
| Route | What enters the plan | Resolve separately |
|---|---|---|
| Tabletop enclosure | Ball, its intended seat and a separate caption. | Inside height from the correct surface and the whole outside footprint. |
| Wall-mounted enclosure | The exact wall version and complete loaded arrangement. | Attachment instructions and the actual door or cover route. |
| Open ball shelf or holder | Ball and intended retention system. | No enclosing cover is implied; confirm access and installation. |
Perfect Cases’ volleyball category distinguishes a tabletop glass octagon from a wall-mounted case with hinges at the top. That hinge description belongs to the wall product. Do not assign it to the tabletop octagon because both appear on the same category page.
Retain the riser height datum and the stated boundaries
The following descriptions were read on 18 October 2026. No ball, seat or enclosure was physically tested for this guide. Original dimension order is retained when the axes are not labelled.
| Exact product | Published inside, inches | Outside or unresolved field |
|---|---|---|
| Better Display Cases clear A027/B02 | L9.5 × D9.5; H8.9 above the platform with risers, H9.5 without risers. | Outside L9.75 × D9.75 × H9.75. |
| Epic Sports E19585, Perfect Cases octagon | 9.5 × 9.5 × 10; inside axis order unlabelled. | Whole exterior, octagon receiving shape and opening. |
| Powers Sports full-size clear case | 9.75 × 9.75 × 9.625; interior axis order unlabelled. | Whole exterior, seat and routine opening. |
The clear A027/B02 listing states where its 8.9-inch riser-version height starts: between the platform and the top. Compare the settled ball above that same platform. Do not subtract the riser again or substitute the 9.5-inch non-riser height for the selected arrangement.
The outside 9.75-inch sequence describes length, depth and height for locating the complete case on furniture. Keep the actual base finish and riser version in the order record, together with the corresponding usable height.
Powers Sports’ description supplies a labelled interior sequence and excludes the volleyball. Its suggested grass and basketball-floor carton inserts are decorative backgrounds, not volleyball seats. A football kicking-tee suggestion on the same page does not identify a volleyball support.
The glass octagon has a ring and its own receiving shape
Epic Sports’ E19585 product description names a glass cover, wood base and ball holder, with mirrors at the bottom and back and a clear acrylic ring. The ring is a supplied component; establish the ball's settled height with it and which part of the numeric sequence is vertical.
The octagon's internal rectangle does not describe every diagonal boundary or the usable entry. Request the actual drawing and opening method. A ring and a raised cutout platform are different arrangements, so their heights cannot be interchanged between products.
Alta Honors’ category also contains a football case and a baseball display. Its ALMN-BC200 multi-ball product describes a mirrored back and ebony acrylic base but supplies no dimensions in the main description read. Its shared basketball/soccer/volleyball title cannot inherit the cavity of another brand.

Keep the team caption and opening route out of the ball's space
Give a team name, season or commemorative plate its own location. A receiving specification for one ball does not necessarily include a large plate or photograph behind it. Check that the closed front view shows the chosen inscription without hiding the caption.
For a mirror, assess the reflected view from the normal viewing position rather than assuming it will make every message legible. For a clear rear, consider the visible room behind the ball. Those are presentation choices, not independently tested protection ratings.
Ask which part opens, where the ball remains supported and where the removed cover rests. A one-piece acrylic shell description does not by itself establish the routine removal sequence. Use the volleyball display worksheet and the collection measurement guide to retain the actual support, original dimensions and complete outside plan.
Common questions
Can I use the non-riser height for a raised version?
Use the datum for the selected configuration. The cited A027 riser specification measures height above its platform.
Does a tabletop case become wall-mounted with a bracket?
Choose a product specifically intended for that arrangement and follow its instructions. A shared sports category or mirrored rear does not establish a wall configuration.
