Choose a LEGO Republic Gunship display case for set 75309 and the exact support you intend to use. An angled replacement stand, the original LEGO stand and a vertical floor-standing bundle create different receiving arrangements. Record the complete wings, spherical turrets, plaque and figures before comparing the case dimensions.
Start with UCS 75309 and its retained support
The official 75309 description lists a display stand, information plaque and two minifigures. Including its stand, LEGO describes the model as over H33 × L68 × W74 cm. Keep the word “over” with that reference: it is not a precise maximum envelope for every turret, hatch or alternative support.
The Gunship has long wings, swing-out spherical turrets, opening sides and a rear hatch. Decide which features remain open in the finished display. A case chosen for the settled model does not automatically provide the space to operate those features inside it.
Record the support by manufacturer and version. A replacement that changes the aircraft’s orientation can change its width, depth and height together. Do not assume the original stand fits into a receiver intended for a supplier’s angled stems, or that two products described as angled use the same connection.
Five case listings describe different packages
These source pages were checked on 18–19 October 2026. The comparison records published components and unresolved receiving details; it is not a DisplayCasePro physical fit, load, dust or UV test.
| Source | Documented arrangement | Resolve before selection |
|---|---|---|
| Wicked Brick | Angled support on 5 mm clear stems, two-tier base, plaque and figure studs. | Its intended settled pose and complete outer footprint. |
| Fantasmall | 3 mm panels with acrylic connectors and screws; optional printed background. | Axis order and which Gunship support is included or retained. |
| Scobo Design | Vertical stand and floor-standing showcase bundle with legs. | Conflicting depth notation and full furniture dimensions. |
| iDisplayit | Gunship enclosure with separate inside and outside dimensions. | Exact support supplied or expected in the selected package. |
| iCuanuty | 3 mm panels, one-piece black base and screw closure. | Usable cavity, intended support and routine opening panel. |
Wicked Brick describes a lift-off clear surround returning to grooves in its base. Its two-tier base totals 10 mm from two 5 mm layers. That package includes its own angled support; the read description gives no angle in degrees to transfer to another stand.
Fantasmall describes the printed background as non-removable when selected. Choose that version for the intended view, rather than assuming it can later become a clear rear. Scobo’s legs and vertical stand make its bundle a furniture decision as well as an enclosure decision.
Keep the five size records on their own datums
| Receiver | Published size | Boundary or ambiguity |
|---|---|---|
| Wicked Brick | W73 × D73 × H39.3 cm. | External dimensions. |
| Fantasmall | 80 × 75 × 40 cm; also 32 × 30 × 16 inches. | FAQ says internal; axis order is unlabelled. |
| Scobo Design | Variant: 3L × 2H × 1.5D feet. Description: case 3L × 2H × 1′5″D; with legs 3L × 3H × 1′5″D. | 1.5 feet and 1 foot 5 inches differ. Inside/outside is unlabelled. |
| iDisplayit | Inside L78 × W78 × H39 cm; outside L80 × W80 × H40 cm. | Separate labelled boundaries; confirm finished receiving surface. |
| iCuanuty | L75 × W75 × H40 cm. | Inside/outside unlabelled. |
Fantasmall’s FAQ describes the outer length and width as about 2 cm larger and the height as about 1.3 cm larger. Keep those as approximate general statements until the selected version has an axis-labelled drawing. Do not replace a needed outer footprint with an exact sum from an approximate FAQ.
The official 74 cm model width and Wicked Brick’s 73 cm external case width are different kinds of records. The case uses an angled support, while LEGO’s reference includes its own stand. Comparing those two numbers alone cannot establish either a failed fit or a confirmed fit.
An open display base is a separate option

CubeBuff lists the stand alone as W42 × D32.3 × H18.2 cm and the arrangement with the collectible as W74 × D68 × H35.6 cm. Its description excludes the model, figures and a separate plaque. Keep those contents separate from the LEGO information plate visible in the photograph.
The smaller base footprint does not describe the complete aircraft above it. Use the with-collectible outline when considering nearby objects, and ask separately whether that exact support is suitable for any proposed enclosure. The stand listing does not establish compatibility with another maker’s case.
Choose the viewing state before the cover-removal route
Mark which turret and hatch positions you want to see through the front and sides. Include the plaque and both figures in the composed layout. A printed rear can frame the aircraft while concealing the back; a vertical support changes which surfaces face the viewer.
For a lift-off surround, establish its full removal route and a resting place. For a screw-assembled case, ask which panel is intended for normal access. Leave the model’s handling and mounting procedure to the instructions for the exact model and support; wing tips and turret housings are not assumed lifting points.
Request one confirmed drawing for one complete package
For an angled display, confirm the supplied stems and the resulting complete pose. For the original stand, request explicit confirmation of that retained arrangement. For the vertical bundle, resolve Scobo’s depth notation before assessing the floor location, legs and furniture instructions.
Use the Gunship support and case worksheet to retain the chosen configuration. The collection measurement guide covers consistent complete outlines and receiving boundaries.
