Choose a LEGO Dried Flower Centerpiece display case for the 10314 arrangement you will actually keep: one low centerpiece, several joined sets, or a build placed in an open basket. Settle that choice before comparing dimensions. A basket changes the finished display’s outline but does not provide an enclosing cover.
A single 10314 reference does not describe every arrangement
LEGO’s official 10314 description gives H7 × W40 × D13 cm for the centerpiece. It describes table display, wall hanging and combining additional sets. Treat that metric reference as a starting point for the described model, not a receiving envelope for a basket or several copies.
The build interprets dried flowers in LEGO elements, with a gerbera and rose as focal flowers. It is not a real dried bouquet needing a preservation service. Choose the visible face, the positions of the two build sections and the support surface. Record the whole resulting width, depth and height, including any outer leaves or stems.
If you are comparing a low box with a wall display, first choose the display location. A tabletop enclosure’s published height does not specify a wall attachment or the space a different orientation needs. Keep that installation decision separate from whether one enclosed cavity receives the arranged model.
The sources include two cases, an open basket and broader guidance
The following originals were read on 19 October 2026. Their numbers and construction statements are published descriptions, not our measurements, tests or an ordered ranking. The iDisplayit result was a botanical category; its read main did not contain a 10314 card or a model-specific cavity.
| Source and format | Published information | What still needs checking |
|---|---|---|
| Scoparius mirror case | Box 45 × 15 × 15 cm; raised base and mirror floor. | Axis order, internal/external boundary and usable space above the finished base. |
| Brickcessories basket | BCS007 Baltic Birch open basket; assembly and separately supplied wood glue required. | Finished basket dimensions and the complete supported arrangement; no cavity tuple in the read main. |
| LEGO designer interview | Two build halves and connections for combining copies. | The chosen combined layout’s actual outline; no enclosure specification. |
| MWC case | 45 × 21 × 17 cm; no-glue case assembly described. | Axes, inside/outside boundary and normal opening method. |
| iDisplayit botanical category | Botanical product cards and category filters. | No 10314 receiving specification established by the read category. |
The two case tuples cannot be compared as labelled cavities: neither read page explicitly defined the inside/outside boundary or axis order. Scoparius describes a 2 cm raised base, 3 mm acrylic and a mirror floor. Its woodgrain base is described as PVC. Do not call that solid timber or subtract guessed panel and base thicknesses to create an internal dimension.
Likewise, MWC’s no-glue assembly describes joining the enclosure. It does not establish a hinged door, a lift-off routine or permission to move an assembled case with the model inside. Ask for the ordinary opening instructions for the exact item.
Measure the basket after assembly, with the model supported
The Brickcessories item is a support and presentation choice. Its page says that the LEGO set needs no modification, while the basket requires assembly and wood glue. Keep those statements attached to their respective objects: a basket assembly requirement is not an instruction to glue the LEGO flowers.
If you intend to put the basket inside another case, obtain or measure its finished outline with the complete centerpiece in place. Include the basket’s feet, handles or projecting parts if present on the selected item; do not infer their shape from the word “basket.” The plant’s own 40 cm width cannot establish the finished supported width.
Confirm where the model rests and how it can be removed without pulling on flower heads. A claim that the set needs no modification does not independently demonstrate support stability. Choose an open basket because you want that presentation and access, rather than counting it as an enclosed dust barrier.
Extra copies create a new footprint, not a longer version by arithmetic
In the designer interview, Chris McVeigh discusses the two build halves and connecting two or three sets with the supplied arrangement of brackets, producing four- or six-spoke displays. Ball joints allow customization. These design choices make the final outline dependent on the arrangement; multiplying one set’s 40 cm width does not produce a reliable case order.
| Configuration | Record first | Avoid assuming |
|---|---|---|
| One tabletop set | Complete two-section arrangement and outer flower projections. | The reference tuple is a measured cavity requirement. |
| Two or three joined sets | Actual spoke arrangement, connections and whole outline. | A single-set box receives the group, or dimensions scale linearly. |
| Model in an open basket | Finished support plus model, including height from the final resting surface. | Basket dimensions equal the LEGO reference dimensions. |
| Wall arrangement | Orientation, support and a separately confirmed installation method. | A tabletop case or decorative basket supplies a suitable wall mount. |

A low case still needs an opening and a viewing direction
Check the finished base’s visibility from your usual seated or standing position. A mirror floor changes the view underneath the arrangement; it does not add usable height. Decide whether that view suits the table and whether the flowers remain visible above the chosen base edge.
Ask what comes away during normal opening, where that part will rest and whether the centerpiece can stay supported throughout. Recheck a joined arrangement if it must be separated for access. Use the collection measuring guide to keep model, support, clear interior and whole exterior in separate records.
Order against the finished configuration
Save the set number, number of copies, chosen arrangement, basket SKU if used, finished dimensions, base material, labelled cavity and opening instructions together. Attach a sketch or photograph of your own layout when asking a supplier to confirm receiving space.
The useful decision is whether a particular enclosure receives that finished display and can be opened in its location. A category name, an unlabelled box tuple or a basket compatibility title cannot settle all three questions.
