Choose a LEGO Concorde display case around the intended pose and support for set 10318. A low horizontal display and a taller angled display can use different case depths, heights and stems. Select that configuration before comparing the usable interior or reserving space on a shelf.
Choose the support before fixing the case envelope
LEGO's Concorde 10318 description gives a model reference of over 15 cm high, 105 cm long and 43 cm wide. It describes the supplied stand for flight, takeoff or landing display, along with the droop nose, working landing gear and movable surfaces.
That reference is not the finished envelope of every stand-mounted pose. An aftermarket case can use its own support and arrangement. Ask whether the original LEGO stand remains, whether a different stem is supplied, and which model configuration the case specification assumes.
Decide the nose, landing-gear and movable-surface positions you intend to retain, following the actual model instructions. Record the outline in that state. Changing the support or nose position after selecting the enclosure can invalidate the comparison even though the set number remains 10318.
Include the full support base and any plaque. The lowest support surface is the starting point for the complete displayed height; the fuselage alone is not. If the arrangement has not been assembled, ask the supplier for a dimensioned drawing of its intended posed model and support.
Horizontal and angled products trade different dimensions
Wicked Brick's Concorde case offers two named modes. The maker describes a bespoke stem for the chosen presentation and a different background for each style. Keep the complete option name with the measurements.
| Selected mode | Published W × D × H | Selection question |
|---|---|---|
| Horizontal, labelled Take-off | 110 × 48 × 28.3 cm. | Does the complete selected support/pose match this lower, deeper display, and what are its true usable and outside dimensions? |
| Angled, labelled In-flight | 110 × 26 × 47.3 cm. | Does the intended supported orientation match this taller, shallower format, and is there enough room for the full case and its opening? |
The figures show why choosing only by a case's “Concorde” title is insufficient. The two offered formats have the same published width but different depth and height. Their numeric lines do not explicitly label clear interior versus exterior, so obtain both definitions before relying on a furniture fit.
Do not derive a flight angle from those rectangles. The description does not supply degrees or a general method for rotating the model. Use the actual support and approved pose belonging to the selected display, rather than tilting another stand until its profile resembles the smaller depth.
The backdrop is also part of the option. Consider the normal viewing position and how much of the aircraft you want visible from other sides. A runway or technical-style scene is a visual choice; it does not establish a different structural attachment or preservation performance.
Compare alternatives that explicitly label their interiors
Other listings use a clearly stated internal measurement, but still need a pose check. The centimetre values below retain their source labels. Do not mix rounded inch equivalents into a tighter clearance calculation.
| Listing | Published inside size | Remaining question |
|---|---|---|
| FantasMall Concorde 10318 case | 110 × 45 × 30 cm; its FAQ expressly identifies the labelled size as internal. | Confirm the intended support, pose and usable space around the finished model. |
| Songlection Concorde 10318 case | Assembled inside W108 × D45 × H35 cm. | Confirm which support is included and the complete supported outline; the listing names a 10 mm WPC base. |
Neither inside width establishes the fit of every angled arrangement. The wing outline, support and highest point have to agree with the same pose. A case advertised for the set should be checked against that intended configuration, not just the official model's 105-centimetre length.
For the FantasMall background version, the FAQ says the painted background is not removable. Treat that as an appearance and future-use decision before ordering. A printed panel you expect to remove later is different from a permanently treated background.
Obtain a complete exterior drawing separately for the shelf or sideboard. Approximate exterior increments in an FAQ can help start an enquiry, but the finished base, fittings and chosen configuration still need to be identified. The collection measurement guide explains how to keep those reference surfaces consistent.

Resolve conflicting set numbers before treating a listing as compatible
The Brickcessories Concorde listing illustrates a source check worth making. Its title and custom-fit bullet identify 10318, while its introductory description says the case is for set 75441. The page also publishes precise inside and outside dimensions.
That mismatch needs confirmation from the supplier. Numeric precision does not settle which model and configuration a description actually covers. Do not silently replace the conflicting number, borrow the dimensions as verified fit data, or use a review as a substitute for the clarification.
A focused enquiry should name 10318, the desired pose and the exact case option. Ask for a consistent written specification covering the supported model, included stem, clear interior and full exterior. Keep that reply with the product record.
Plan access around the full aircraft
A long case needs more than an available stretch of furniture. Establish which part opens, how it passes the wing and tail, and where the removed cover or panels will rest. Do not assume all Concorde cases use the same opening system because their product photographs look similar.
Decide whether normal access means viewing a fixed pose or operating features. Reaching the droop nose, landing-gear mechanism or seating area is a separate task from having enough room for the completed model. If that operation requires opening the enclosure, plan it as a deliberate removal and return sequence.
Keep supports and case sides doing their intended jobs. The acrylic panel should not press against a wing to hold the aircraft at an angle. A generic clear stem in an image is not a specification for a replacement attachment, and this guide provides no improvised hanging or drilling method.
If a wall-mounted product is also under consideration, obtain its model-specific support and installation documentation separately. A space-saving frame description does not establish that an open mount is an enclosing case or that it shares the stand configuration in the tables above.
Use the blank Concorde pose and case worksheet to keep the set, support, nose/gear state, exact option and measurement definition together. Compare like configurations before choosing a finish or lighting accessory.
Common questions
Will the supplied LEGO stand work in every Concorde case?
Confirm the case maker's intended support. The Wicked Brick product describes its own bespoke stem; that does not establish reuse of the original stand in another case.
Is an angled case always smaller?
The cited modes trade depth against height while keeping the same published width. Verify the complete exterior and usable interior for your selected pose rather than calling either universally smaller.
Can I choose from the 105-centimetre model length alone?
No. Include wings, the supported height, the base and the intended cover operation. The official reference does not describe every posed display.
