LEGO C-3PO Display Cases: Solo, Droid Pair or Three-Set Group

Compare C-3PO cases for 75398 alone, with R2-D2 75379 or in a three-set group. Check arm poses, plaque layouts, case definitions and the complete base footprint.

LEGO C-3PO Display Cases: Solo, Droid Pair or Three-Set Group

A LEGO C-3PO display case may be intended for 75398 alone, for C-3PO with R2-D2 75379, or for a three-set group also containing Chewbacca 75371. Choose the group first. A larger-looking box and a shared character name do not establish the layout or usable space for a different combination.

Then choose C-3PO's head and arm position. The familiar hand-on-R2-D2 scene is an intentional configuration, not simply two figures pushed closer together. Keep its complete profile, stands and plaque positions with the exact case variant you ask a supplier to confirm.

Decide which sets share the enclosure

LEGO's official C-3PO 75398 description identifies head and arm movement, a stand with information plaque, space for the included minifigure and an anniversary brick. The main figure stands over 38 cm tall. That reference does not describe every arm position or the full width and depth of the displayed scene.

The same official page describes displaying C-3PO with R2-D2 75379 and reconfiguring an arm for the head-patting scene. Keep 75379 in that pairing record. It does not establish the same scene with every LEGO R2-D2 edition, a different stand or an aftermarket riser.

For a trio, write all three set numbers rather than “three Star Wars characters.” The Brickcessories result specifically names 75398, 75379 and 75371. It is a defined group listing; the read main does not establish a universal capacity for any three models.

Compare like groups before comparing numbers

These product descriptions were read in October 2026. Some sources give explicit exterior figures, others leave inside/outside undefined, and one separates the case from a larger base. Keep those distinctions in the comparison.

Brickcessories, three-set groupAssembled 500 × 360 × 500 mm.Tuple axes and inside/outside are unlabelled; actual positions and access for the trio need confirmation.
Flying Box, 75398 soloCase L8.5 × W6.5 × H16 in; base 9 × 7 in.Case figures are unclassified. The larger base is a separate footprint, not extra clear interior.
Blacked Brick, 75398 + 75379External W36 × D25 × H39 cm.Locating cutout and supplied plaque described; cavity and intended arm configuration still needed.
Elevenmark, 75398 soloL24 × W22.6 × H44.5 cm.Inside/outside is unlabelled. Extra quoted height does not establish every arm or group layout.

Do not compare LEGO's “over 38 cm” model reference with a 39 cm external case height and calculate a known 1 cm clearance. The model figure is not an exact delivered maximum, the case figure is exterior, and the supplied base arrangement may use a different datum. Obtain the intended configuration and clear cavity.

Likewise, the trio's 500 mm dimension is not a promise of a 500 mm clear height, or a reason to assume any additional character fits. Ask for labelled axes and the full supported group. For furniture, include the entire base; Flying Box's separate base line makes that distinction explicit.

Record the arm configuration rather than forcing the scene

For a solo display, select the permitted head and arm position you want to see and record its projections from the actual viewing direction. A head turned toward the room can read differently from a pose prepared in a straight-on product photograph. Measure the completed arrangement with its intended support.

For the droid pair, use the official configuration instructions for the head-patting arrangement. LEGO describes an arm reconfiguration, so do not reduce the task to bending any joint until the hand reaches another model. Confirm the exact arm state and relative positions with the case maker's intended locating layout.

A base cutout helps define a receiving position only when its actual shape and assigned model are known. It does not establish that you can rotate either character freely, exchange an R2-D2 edition, or move a figure forward without changing the available clearance.

Keep the plaques visible and the figures retrievable

List the plaques and smaller figures you intend to retain with each set. Distinguish LEGO components from any additional acrylic information plaque included by the enclosure supplier. A product photograph showing several labels does not establish that every label, support or figure is supplied with the case.

Place those elements on the plan before approving the trio or pair. Check from the real shelf height: a tall central figure, another character's silhouette or a case corner can hide a plaque. Avoid arranging a small figure where accessing it would require reaching blindly between larger models.

Write down which model can leave first, following the actual model and case instructions. With a lift-off surround, reserve the required lifting route and somewhere to put the cover. With a shared scene, do not assume the group should move as one connected object merely because one arm appears to touch another character.

Clear and printed rear options also change the viewing plan. Decide which approach to the display matters most, then check the characters from that direction. A background choice cannot establish fit, and printed artwork is not evidence of a quantified UV-protection performance.

Ask the supplier about the complete group

The C-3PO group and pose worksheet keeps every set number, pose, stand, plaque, source size and missing definition together. Use the collection measurement guide for the complete outline rather than adding isolated figure widths.

An enquiry can read: “I want [75398 solo / 75398 with 75379 in the official head-pat configuration / the exact three-set group]. Please confirm that arrangement, labelled clear interior and exterior including base, locating positions and supplied plaques. What removal sequence and cover clearance are intended?” Attach your planned configuration and keep the reply with the exact order variant.

Common questions

Does a C-3PO case always include room for R2-D2?

No. The sampled pages distinguish solo, named pair and named trio products. Confirm the exact group.

Can the official pairing use any R2-D2 model?

The cited LEGO scene names 75379. Other editions require separate configuration and fit evidence.

Does a taller size line guarantee more usable space?

Only compare confirmed interiors for the same intended arrangement. Unclassified dimensions, different bases and changed poses prevent that conclusion from height alone.

About this guide: Reference-led group comparison with original schematics. No arm configuration, contact between models, base cutout, support, protection performance or case fit was physically tested.
