Hot Toys Display Cases: Figure Bases, Poses and Cabinet Options

Compare Hot Toys cases by figure code, retained stand and posed outline. Separate desktop cases, open wall mounts and cabinet modules before choosing a receiver.

Hot Toys Display Cases: Figure Bases, Poses and Cabinet Options

Choose a Hot Toys display case for the exact figure, its retained base and its settled pose. The 1/6 label does not define a common receiving space: wings, a long weapon, a raised support or a second character can change the arrangement. First separate an enclosing case from an open wall mount, a riser or a cabinet module.

Record the product code before the character name

Keep the Hot Toys code and edition with the display record. A standard figure, a deluxe edition with additional parts and a vehicle sharing the same film title are separate receiving questions. Record which accessories will remain on display and which stay in their storage packaging.

Include the original display base, support post and the intended supported pose when recording the complete outline. A case does not replace the figure’s support unless the selected product explicitly supplies an appropriate replacement. A magnetic connection between enclosure parts is also different from a system that retains the figure.

Use the widest and highest points of the chosen arrangement: a held weapon, cape, wing, raised arm or separate companion can matter more than the figure’s standing height. Keep any handling or posing restrictions from the figure’s own instructions. Do not compress a cape or force an accessory against glazing to match a nominal case size.

The sampled pages offer several different kinds of display

These original descriptions were read on 18 October 2026. The comparison identifies product formats and published receiving information; it is not a DisplayCasePro physical fit, dust, UV or loaded-support test.

What the five Hot Toys source pages actually contain
SourceObserved formatSelect or confirm
iDisplayit collectionIndividual figures, paired scenes, vehicles and coffee-table cases.Exact code, complete supported scene and specific case.
Wicked Brick collectionDesktop and wall cases, an open wall mount and KALLAX risers.Whether an enclosing surround is included.
Sideshow display categoryLighted cases, MODUSPACE modules and separately listed risers.Manufacturer, module contents and actual usable bay.
Flying Box sixth-scale collectionA general figure case and a separate Iron Man Mark III case.Selected product and its own size chart.
Display Geek small caseSingle-figure receiver with separate toy, case and base size lines.Units, usable cavity and the exact intended contents.

Sideshow’s rendered category contained 17 cards, including risers sold as separate items. A riser lifts a display within another space; its presence in a case category does not make it an enclosure. Likewise, Wicked Brick’s open wall mount and wall-mounted case are separate formats.

Display Geek says the selected case is made and shipped by Flying Box. Treat those two websites as related product evidence, rather than two independent fitting tests. Its title refers to Sideshow boxes while its fitting guide refers to figures, so clarify the intended contents before applying the numeric lines to packaging.

Wicked Brick describes a two-tier 10 mm base, formed from two 5 mm layers secured with magnets, plus 3 mm clear panels. Those magnets connect base components; the read description does not establish magnetic retention of the figure. Keep the intended stand on the actual finished receiving surface when confirming height.

The Flying Box product leaf offers Small, Medium and Large and places dimensions in its images. Its text identifies 1/8-inch clear and 1/4-inch black acrylic sheets, but sheet thickness does not resolve the receiving dimensions. Obtain the chart for the selected option rather than borrowing Display Geek’s small-case numbers for all three.

The Wonder Woman example shows why edition and pose matter

The two iDisplayit Golden Armor cases have the same listed interior height, yet different floor plans. The MMS578 leaf explicitly describes displaying the wings at full span. The narrower MMS577 title and its conflicting Deluxe wording need clarification; the shared character name cannot resolve that discrepancy.

A full-span resting display and the space needed to move the wings are different requirements. Confirm the exact settled arrangement, base and support with the supplier. Do not interpret a published interior rectangle as permission to pose every joint or rotate a wide figure inside the enclosure.

A cabinet group needs a clear view and an individual removal route

Hot Toys action figures arranged at several heights behind reflective clear glazing in a Marvel shop display

Place the figures on a paper plan with their complete bases and supported poses. View that group from the intended shelf height. A higher row may reveal faces while hiding lower details behind the riser edge; a bright background can also compete with dark figures through reflective glazing.

Choose which figure must be reachable without moving its neighbours. Confirm the actual module opening and any obstruction in the retrieval route. Advertised figure count is less useful than a layout that receives the selected bases and allows routine access.

Resolve the opening before planning lights or frequent pose changes

Ask whether the exact surround lifts away, a panel comes off or a door opens. Reserve the required route and a resting place for removed parts. A connector-cube assembly description alone does not identify a routine access panel.

For a figure or enclosure with powered lighting, retain its own power and access instructions. Establish how batteries or connections are reached without forcing wires through an unintended gap. A printed background showing light is not proof that a lighting kit is supplied.

Use the Hot Toys receiver worksheet to retain the figure code, base and unresolved dimensions. The collection measurement guide covers the complete supported outline.
